Abstract: A communication system comprising a microwave transceiver arranged to communicate with a remote microwave transceiver over a point-to-point radio link, the microwave transceiver comprising a small form-factor pluggable, SFP, transceiver slot having an SFP interface, the communication system further comprising a wireless SFP transceiver, W-SFP, occupying the SFP transceiver slot, the W-SFP comprising an antenna port, a wireless module supporting a wireless local area network, WLAN, protocol for communicating with one or more wireless devices via the antenna port, and an SFP port supporting the SFP interface, wherein the wireless module, the SFP port, and the antenna port are interconnected and arranged as an integrated unit.
