  • Publication number: 20210265032
Abstract: A method for remotely witnessing a medical workflow is provided. The method includes authenticating a clinician at a witnessing device. The method also includes receiving, at the witnessing device, a request to perform a medical workflow. The method further includes determining, at the witnessing device and based at least in part on the medical workflow, that a witness is required to observe the medical workflow. The method also includes initiating, at a witnessing client remotely coupled with the witnessing device, a witnessing session, wherein the witnessing client allows a witness to remotely observe the medical workflow. The method also includes enabling, in response to at least the initiation of the witnessing session, completion of the medical workflow. Related systems and articles of manufacture, including apparatuses and computer program products, are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9238395
Abstract: A rear wheel suspension including first and second suspension devices carrying a right and left, respectively, rear wheel rotating in a wheel plane forming a toe angle with respect to a longitudinal axis and a camber angle with respect to a vertical axis. A transversal beam connects the first and the second suspension device. Each suspension device includes a wheel spindle housing, defining a wheel center, and a leading link and a trailing link connected to the vehicle body. The transversal beam permits bending for vertical loads to provide the suspension devices a deflection to adjust the toe and camber angles such that the changes of the camber angles when the wheel planes converge towards an upper point above the wheel center connect to a controlled adjustment of the toe angles such that the wheel planes converge directionally towards a rear point located rearwards of the wheel center.

  • Patent number: 7963538
Abstract: A motor vehicle and wheel suspension assembly for a rear wheel of a motor vehicle. The assembly includes a wheel spindle housing supporting a wheel spindle carrying the rear wheel and defining a wheel center. A frame structure is adapted to be connected to a vehicle body or an engine-transmission assembly of the motor vehicle. A spring link extends between the frame structure and the wheel spindle housing and carries a vehicle spring. First and second control links extend between the frame structure and the wheel spindle housing to control the wheel spindle housing to maintain the rear wheel substantially in parallel with a longitudinal direction. A first and second camber link extends between the frame structure and the wheel spindle housing, and intersect each other. An instantaneous center of motion is located at a position far outside the wheel and then rearward the wheel, or far inside the wheel and then forward the wheel.

  • Patent number: 6631949
Abstract: The present invention involves a vehicle seat and headrest arrangement for use with a seat having a seatback in a vehicle. The vehicle seat and headrest arrangement comprises a headrest arrangement including a headrest, at least one impact target, and at least one of a guide member and a follower. The seatback has at least one of the other of a guide member and follower. The guide member has a guideway and the follower engages the guideway of the guide member such that upon impact to the vehicle a rearward load by the occupant upon the impact target will cause the follower to engage the guideway in such a manner as to cause the headrest to be moved in a first manner and a second manner so as to support the head of an occupant.

  • Patent number: 6631955
Abstract: The present invention involves a method of providing head support with a movable headrest of a vehicle seat to a vehicle occupant head during impact of the vehicle. The method includes moving the headrest toward the head of the occupant in a first manner upon impact of the vehicle and moving the headrest toward the head of the occupant in a second manner different from the first manner. The first and second manners may include first and second velocities and first and second trajectories of the headrest.

  • Patent number: 4297911
Abstract: In a passenger car the steering wheel, which is impact-absorbing, is fixed to a steering wheel column that via an intermediate shaft is connected to a steering gear. The steering wheel column is journalled in a collapsible column support that is attached to a horizontal support beam extending transversely in the vehicle interior at a certain distance behind the beam supporting the windshield. The ends of the support beam are attached to carrying portions of the vehicle. On the intermediate shaft there is a deformable portion allowing the intermediate shaft to become deformed upon collision impact. In this way collision forces acting from the front reach the support beam and the steering wheel column late, while allowing the steering wheel and the column support to cushion the driver.
