  • Publication number: 20050052291
Abstract: The invention concerns a portable data input device. The device comprises a holding member designed to be held by or attached to a first hand of a user of the device in order to hold the device onto said first hand. The device comprises a first plurality of input members arranged on the back of the first hand and/or on the sides of the first hand, such that these input members may be easily manipulated by a plurality of fingers of the second hand of the user. The device also comprises a second plurality of input members arranged on the palm-side of the first hand, such that these input members may be easily manipulated by a plurality of fingers of the first hand. With the help of the input members of the device, essentially all the basic symbols of a standard computer keyboard can be generated. The invention also concerns the use of such a device.

  • Publication number: 20050052416
Abstract: A primary pointing device controls the position of a cursor on a digital screen by means of primary position commands (C1). The primary position commands (C1) are generated by relative movement (D11; D12) between the primary pointing device and a substantially flat external surface, such as a tabletop or mouse pad. The primary pointing device is adapted to dock with a secondary pointing device, which may also control the position of the cursor on the digital screen. Bearing registering user input controls in the secondary pointing device generate secondary position commands (C2), which are fed to the digital processor for causing the cursor to move on the digital screen. Furthermore, the primary pointing device is adapted to dock with the secondary pointing device.

  • Publication number: 20040263358
Abstract: The invention concerns a portable unit comprising a hand attachment device, suited to be easily attachable to and removable from a first hand of a person using the device, and at least a first input member arranged on said device for inputting signals to a peripheral unit. The attachment device comprises a U-shaped portion, which thus has first and second at least relatively straight parts and a bent part connecting said first and second parts. The attachment device is designed to be attachable to said first hand such that the first part is located essentially on the back of the hand, the second part is located essentially on the front of the hand while the bent part extends from the back of the hand to the front of the hand in the area between the thumb and the index finger of said first hand. The invention also concerns the use of such a unit.

  • Publication number: 20040051694
Abstract: The invention concerns a portable device for inputting control signals to a peripheral unit. The device comprises a holding member designed to be attached to a first hand of a user of the device so as to retain the device in a predetermined manner on said first hand. At least a first input member is arranged on said holding member. The first input member is arranged for inputting signals to the peripheral unit in order to perform the same or a similar function as a joystick or as the movement of a standard computer mouse. Said input member is arranged on said holding member such that when the holding member is arranged as intended on said first hand, the first input member is arranged within a predetermined area of said first hand. The invention also concerns the use of such a device.

  • Patent number: 5271523
Abstract: A dispenser to be used with an air craft includes a body member, and a magazine accommodated in the body member. The magazine is provided with a feeding out opening at one end thereof and accommodates a number of packages arranged in a row extending from the feeding out opening throughout the magazine. The magazine includes a feeding out and separation device provided adjacent the feeding out opening for separating and feeding out a package in the row located closest to the feeding out opening of the magazine. The dispenser also includes air guiding member provided on the body member to guide an air stream in to the feeding out opening of the magazine in order to create a pressure differential at the feeding out opening acting to facilitate removal of packages, released by the feeding out and separation device, from the feeding out opening.

  • Patent number: 5221018
Abstract: A container assembly for housing a jamming device includes a box having a bottom section, a wall extending from and surrounding the bottom section and an opening for insertion of the jamming device into the box. The box or a frame, dimensioned to receive the box therein, includes coupling members for interconnection of another container thereto. A lid is applicable above the box to substantially cover its opening. A locking assembly includes a first locking member provided on the lid which cooperates with a second locking member on the box or the frame. This locking assembly cooperates with a locking assembly of the other container when interconnected through the coupling members to maintain the lid fixedly positioned to cover the opening.
