  • Publication number: 20240171566
Abstract: A messaging system for exchanging messages between nodes in a network via a broker that uses a publish-subscribe message protocol, which nodes have object identifications (IDs). Messages between the nodes are routed using the object IDs of the nodes. Secure communication is provided using authentication according to digital certificates being used as first and second tiers by a commissioning broker and a data broker, respectively, in which the second tier certificate used by the data broker has a shorter lived expiration time.

  • Publication number: 20230231681
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may switch the set of antennas that the UE uses to transmit sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions. For example, the UE may switch from transmitting first SRSs that conflict with a scheduled communication from a first set of antennas to a second set of antennas (e.g., that is, the conflict may be at the first set of antennas). The UE may be transmitting second SRSs using the second set of antennas, and the switching may cause the UE to transmit the second SRSs using the first set of antennas instead. The second SRSs may not conflict with the scheduled communication (e.g., due to using different resources than the first SRSs), which may enable the UE to transmit the second SRSs and the scheduled communication using the same first set of antennas.

  • Patent number: 11678343
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a grant indicating a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) that indicates that the grant is for a retransmission of an initial communication. The UE may decode, based at least in part on the grant indicating the MCS that indicates that the grant is for the retransmission and using a transport block size (TBS) of a prior communication, a communication scheduled by the grant, wherein the prior communication is prior to the initial communication. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20230008060
Abstract: A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving one or more configuration messages indicating configuration of the UE with a first component carrier (CC) and at least a second CC for a first subscription corresponding to a first subscriber identity module (SIM) of the UE. The method further includes performing one or more operations associated with a second subscription corresponding to a second SIM of the UE during a time interval. During the time interval, communication by the first subscription using the second CC is avoided based on a first throughput associated with the first CC exceeding a second throughput associated with the second CC.

  • Patent number: 11447988
Abstract: A motor vehicle includes an engine and a fuel tank having a cap with a first position in which the cap seals the fuel tank and a second position in which the cap does not seal the fuel tank. A sensor detects whether the cap is in the first position or the second position. An electronic processor is communicatively coupled to the engine and to the sensor. The electronic processor turn offs the engine in response to the sensor detecting that the cap is in the second position.

  • Patent number: 10057880
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatuses for providing notifications in a communication network of a plurality of Internet of Things (IoT) devices. In an aspect, a supervisor device in the communication network detects a notification directed to a wireless mobile device in the communication network and sends at least one instruction to at least a first IoT device of the plurality of IoT devices to reduce an operating volume or suspend operation of the first IoT device. The first IoT device receives the at least one instruction from the supervisor device and reduces the operating volume of the IoT device or suspends the operation of the IoT device in response to the at least one instruction.

  • Patent number: 10004087
Abstract: An apparatus may communicate with at least two networks. The apparatus may be configured to opportunistically decode a channel from a first network and a channel from a second network in order to receive data from both networks. The apparatus may determine whether first data carried on a paging channel (PCH) is decodable from a subset of slots that carry the PCH. The subset of slots may be included in a set of slots that carry the PCH. When the PCH collides with a physical multicast channel (PMCH), the apparatus may decode second data carried on the PMCH instead of the first data when the first data is determined to be decodable from the subset of slots that carry the PCH, and decode the first data instead of the second data when the first data is not determined to be decodable from the subset of slots that carry the PCH.
