    Abstract: A nanowire catalyst is provided. The catalyst has the formula AxC1-xOd, wherein A is a transition metal or precious metal and wherein C is selected from the group consisting of silicon, aluminum, titanium, zinc, and manganese. Methods for preparing the nanowire catalyst include steps of mixing a binary oxide nanowire powder having element C with a precursor of element A to form a mixture; drying the mixture; and calcining the mixture to provide the nanowire catalyst. The catalyst may be used in methods of dry methane reforming, including bi-reforming and tri-reforming of methane.

The computer system may store trace records for those processes that, upon releasing a respective lock on the lockable object when another process is waiting in the lock wait queue, have been in contention for the respective lock for over a threshold amount of time. The computer system may present ones of the trace records that identify a timeline that is usable to determine a set of processes that contributed to a delay in a process acquiring a lock on the lockable object.

    Abstract: A method for removing haziness in a digital image is provided. The method includes receiving an input digital image having some haze content from an image capturing device. The input digital image is downscaled to obtain a low-resolution image. Further, a minimum intensity dark channel is determined for each local patch of the low-resolution image to obtain a dark channel image corresponding to the low-resolution image. Furthermore, a transmission map of the low-resolution image is determined based on the dark channel image. Moreover, an atmospheric light value associated with the low-resolution image is also determined. The method further includes applying the determined transmission map and the atmospheric light value associated with the low-resolution image to the input digital image to generate a de-hazed output image and displaying the generated de-hazed output image on a display unit.

The recovery of crystallized thymol product obtained is more than 72% from Hexane-Jammu Monarda oil in a ratio 1:1 under specific conditions. A method for preparing natural thymol in crystal form involves providing crude Jammu Monarda oil in a Flask and gradually reducing the temperature of the flask containing Monarda oil:Hexane in a step-wise manner, thereby producing highly pure crystals (?95.5%) within 48 h. The methods disclosed herein are suitable for pharmaceutical GMP.
