  • Publication number: 20240095093
Abstract: A system and method for configuring a cloud service center is described. The system accesses usage data of resources of the cloud service center. The usage data is standardized by applying a pre-processing operation to the usage data. The system generates a plurality of forecast models based on the standardized usage data. The forecast models predict a demand of the resources of the cloud service center. The system selects a demand forecast model from the forecast models based on a ranking of the forecast models. The system applies a postprocessing operation to the demand forecast that is generated based on the selected demand forecast model. The system configures the cloud service center based on the post-processed demand forecast.

  • Publication number: 20230214308
Abstract: Techniques for capacity management in computing systems are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method includes analyzing data representing a number of enabled users or a number of provisioned users to determine whether the analyzed data represents an anomaly based on historical data. The method can also include upon determining that the data represents an anomaly, determining a conversion rate between a change in the number of enabled users or the number of provisioned users and a change in a number of active users of the computing service and deriving a future value of the number of active users of the computing service based on both the detected anomaly and the determined conversion rate. The method can further include allocating and provisioning an amount of the computing resource in the distributed computing system in accordance with the determined future value of the active users of the computing resource.

  • Publication number: 20190327981
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for preparing crackers from Eragrostis tef flour. The method comprises mixing Eragrostis tef flour with a liquid medium and allowing the obtained batter to stand to obtain a fermented batter. The fermented batter is then uniformly spread to a wall thickness in the range of 3 mm to 5 mm on a heated griddle to obtain a crepe with random air pockets. The crepe is placed between a pair of heated discs and an incremental axially directed pressure is applied to reduce the wall thickness in the range of 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm to obtain the cracker. The crackers prepared by the method of the present disclosure retain the nutritional properties, are palatable, easily chewable and can be used as a healthy addition to the routinely used diet.

  • Patent number: 5258235
Abstract: Decorative laminates which provide a decorative effect similar to that of marble or synthetic marble are achieved by constructing the core from sheets having a very low opacity. These sheets are prepared from bleached Kraft pulp and do not contain titanium dioxide or other opacifying pigments. The core sheets are saturated with resins such as melamine formaldehyde, polyester or epoxy resin. These saturating resins approximately match the refractive index of the bleached Kraft pulp and provide a translucent effect. Core sheets may be assembled with conventional decor sheets and an abrasion-resistant overlay to provide decorative laminates. Due to the translucent nature of the core, the color of the decor sheets is shown throughout the thickness of the laminate. This results in a uniquely decorative edge.
