  • Publication number: 20220045917
Abstract: An end user device connected to a network is comprises a memory unit, a processor operably coupled to the memory unit, and a client application stored in the memory unit. A sensing module processor senses inputs from one or more sources. The sources comprise points in the network, software applications running on the end user device, software integrated in an operating system of the end user device, and the processor of the end user device. A processing module processes the sensed inputs to determine changes in parameters of the network for enabling the network to provide either a particular quality of experience or a particular network slice. An acting module provides the determined changes as feedback to a server connected to the network. In response, the server effects the determined changes in the parameters of the network for providing either the particular quality of experience or the particular network slice.

  • Publication number: 20220046043
Abstract: Disclosed are various examples for threat detection and security for edge devices in communication with Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices. In one example, a baseline behavior profile for a gateway virtual machine is transmitted from a management service to a gateway security process executed in a gateway device. The management service receives an anomaly notification including an indication of an anomaly from the baseline behavior profile. The managements service generates a user interface that shows a description of the anomaly.

  • Publication number: 20220025255
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to photon upconversion nanocapsules for 3D printing and other applications. For example, one aspect is generally related to nanocapsules that contain an upconversion material. Light, such as laser light, focused on a region of liquid containing nanocapsules may be upconverted by the upconversion material to produce wavelengths sufficient to cause polymerization of a polymerizable entity to occur. However, in contrast, although other regions may receive some light, that light may not be of sufficient focus or intensity to be upconverted, and thus, the polymerizable entity in those regions would generally not polymerize. In such a fashion, the extent of polymerization can be controlled, for example, by controlling where light is applied to the liquid. The light could be focused at arbitrary regions within the liquid, thus allowing true 3D-printing to occur.

  • Patent number: 11215713
Abstract: A tones processing system including an interference tone determination module (ITDM), an interference tone tracker module (ITTM) and an interference tone removal module (ITRM) is provided. The ITDM sequentially searches for one or more continuous wave interference (CWI) tones in N samples of intermediate frequency (IF) data within a programmable signal frequency band. The ITTM tracks the detected CWI tones. The ITRM removes the tracked CWI tones from the N samples of IF data using one or more interference tone removal units (ITRUs). Each of the ITRUs includes a second signal generator, a second mixer, a tone filter for suppressing the tracked CWI tones, and a quantizer for reducing the number of processing bits in a tone suppressed output signal. The ITRM performs frequency shift compensation and phase rotation compensation with reduced logic area and power consumption in the global navigation satellite system receiver.

  • Patent number: 11184375
Abstract: Disclosed are various examples for threat detection and security for edge devices in communication with Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices. In one example, a profile is associated with a virtual machine of a gateway device. The profile includes an expected behavior for the virtual machine. The virtual machine is executed by a hypervisor of the gateway device. An actual behavior for the virtual machine is determined. A remedial action is performed. The remedial action is based on an anomaly between the expected behavior and the actual behavior.

  • Patent number: 11038953
Abstract: Internet bound traffic that is being routed through a particular interface within an edge router can, under some circumstances, be moved to a different interface. In some situations, one or more Internet protocol (IP) flows can be moved to a different interface within the same edge router. In other situations, one or more IP flows can be moved to a different interface within a different edge router. Decisions to move Internet traffic to a different interface can be based on information about interfaces within the various edge routers in a cloud computing provider's network, information about IP flows that are being sent through the various interfaces, peering capacity information and information about the latency associated with particular Internet paths. Some or all of the information that is used in connection with traffic steering decisions can be based on real-time measurements.
