  • Patent number: 7591039
Abstract: A light weight floor sweeper has a sweeper head mounted to an elongated handle by means of a universal pivot or universal joint which allows the floor sweeper head to easily pivot about the handle in any direction to pick up debris under over hanging cabinets or under furniture. The floor sweeper has sweeping brushes mounted around all four sides of the sweeper head to provide sweeping action when the sweeper is moved in any direction. There are corner brushes extending out from the sides of the sweeper head that reach into corners to sweep debris toward the main sweeping brushes. All of the brushes are powered by a small electric motor that drives the brushes to direct the debris into a dust-receiving tray in the sweeper head. A gasket arrangement keeps dust and debris out of the gear housings located at each of the corners of the sweeper head regardless of the direction in which the sweeper head is moving.

  • Publication number: 20080178976
Abstract: A combination paper currency holder and rigid plastic card holder which has a planar base plate and in which a first resilient clip is integrally formed along one edge of the base plate and a second resilient clip is integrally formed along an opposite edge of the base plate. The first resilient clip securely hold paper currency to one side of the base plate and the second resilient clip securely holds plastic cards, such as credit cards, to the other side of the base plate. A pair of guide members are integrally formed with side edges of the other side of the base plate and assist in retaining the plastic cards against the base plate.

  • Patent number: 7004520
Abstract: A locking mechanism for elongate tools that are designed to engage objects from remote distances and that have engagement elements located on a distal end of a rod, a handle on a proximate end of the rod, a controller on the handle to control the engagement elements, and a linkage between the controller and the engagement elements to control the engagement elements is disclosed. The locking elements include a saw tooth receiving surface that is rigidly affixed to a trigger and a stop member having complementary saw tooth extensions. A switch member controls the movement of the stop member into engagement and out of engagement with the receiving surface which thereby locks and unlocks the movement of the trigger.

  • Patent number: 6848731
Abstract: An elongate engagement tool that has engagement elements located on a distal end of a first rod, a handle on the proximate end of second rod, a controller on the handle to control the engagement elements, and a linkage between the controller and engagement elements to control the engagement elements is disclosed. The rods are connected together by a locking hinge. A locking pin is received by the knuckles of the hinges has a plurality of axial segments. The profiles of the axial segments alternate from round disks to aster shaped disks that closely fit into the apertures formed by the knuckles. When the locking pin is moved to a first locked position where the aster shaped profiled sections are aligned with the apertures in the corresponding knuckles to the hinge is locked. Movement of the pin to a second free position where the round axial sections are aligned with the apertures in the knuckles provides for limited rotational movement.
