  • Publication number: 20070121908
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing address translation using subsequent address information are disclosed. According to one method, a first call setup signaling message containing a first portion of a called party identifier is received. A second call setup signaling message containing a second portion of the called party identifier is received. The first and second portions of the called party identifier are used to perform an address translation.

  • Publication number: 20070064886
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for dynamically controlling a PSTN network element from an IP network element using signaling are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method may include receiving a first SIP message from an IP application server. The first SIP message may identify a call event trigger associated with a subscriber to a circuit switched network. In response to receiving the first SIP message, a first SS7 message identifying the call event trigger and the subscriber may be generated and routed to a circuit switched network node. A second SS7 message may be received that indicates triggering of the call event corresponding to the trigger. A second SIP message indicating the call event may be routed to the IP application server. A third SIP message may be received that specifies a PSTN call control function.

  • Publication number: 20070019633
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for using signaling system 7 (SS7) subsystem numbers to route message to session initiation protocol (SIP) nodes. According to one method, an SS7 message can be received. A SIP message can be generated based on the SS7 message. A subsystem number associated with the SS7 message can be identified. A destination SIP node for the SIP message can be identified based on the subsystem number. Further, the SIP message can be forwarded to the SIP node.

  • Publication number: 20070008955
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are disclosed for triggering SIP nodes to include SS7 routing information in response messages including information requested by SS7 nodes. A message having SS7 routing information is received from a remote SS7 node. A corresponding SIP message is generated that includes the SS7 routing information and a parameter for triggering the SIP node to include the routing information in a response message. The corresponding SIP message is forwarded to a remote SIP node.

  • Publication number: 20070002828
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for taking a high-speed signaling link out of service from a proving state of an initial alignment procedure in response to a flag delimitation error. According to one aspect, the method includes initializing an initial alignment procedure for validating the ability of a high-speed signaling link to carry signal units and transitioning to a proving state. While in the proving state, the method includes detecting a flag delimitation error and in response to detecting the flag delimitation error, starting a timer. The method further includes taking the link out of service based on the timer.
