  • Patent number: 11416799
Abstract: Activity data of a set of tasks as a training set is obtained from a list of communication platforms associated with the tasks. For each of the tasks in the training set, a set of activity metrics is compiled according to a set of predetermined activity categories based on the activity data of each task. The activity metrics of all of the tasks in the training set are aggregated based on the activity categories to generate a data matrix. A principal component analysis is performed on the metrics of its covariance matrix to derive an activity dimension vector, where the activity dimension vector represents a distribution pattern of the activity metrics of the tasks. The activity dimension vector can be utilized to determine an activity score of a particular task, where the activity score of a task can be utilized to estimate a probability of completeness of the task.

  • Patent number: 11418584
Abstract: This disclosure describes various ways in which a client agent can be incorporated into multiple virtual machines of a server cluster to keep track of the location of each instance of services running on the server cluster and facilitate rapid connection of different services on the server cluster as needed. When a first service requests connection to a second service, a client agent co-located with the first service is able to forward the request to a virtual network interface card (VNIC) associated with the second service. The VNIC is configured to forward the request to an available instance of the second service. The location of the services are determined and stored on one or more service registries right after the service instances are instantiated, removing the need for a search when new requests are received.

  • Patent number: 11416159
Abstract: A method and system for prioritizing critical data object storage during backup operations. Specifically, the method and system disclosed herein entail reordering data objects, awaiting being written to storage and thus queued in one or more data object queues, in accordance with a nearest-critical based sequential order. The nearest-critical based sequential order may be derived through modified weight-based Euclidean distances calculated between adjacent data object pairs queued in any given data object queue. Further, the calculated modified weight-based Euclidean distances incorporate data criticality factors associated with the adjacent data object pairs. By reordering data objects in a nearest-critical based sequential order, critical data objects may be written into storage first, thereby avoiding possible critical data loss should a disaster occur during backup operations.

  • Patent number: 11416397
Abstract: A cache flush request is received in a first phase of a persistent memory flush flow, where the first phase is initiated by a host processor, and the cache flush request requests that data in cache memory be flushed to persistent memory within a system. A cache flush response is sent in the first phase responsive to the cache flush request, where the cache flush response identifies whether an error is detected in the first phase. A memory buffer flush request is received in a second phase of the persistent memory flush flow, where the second phase is initiated by the host processor upon completion of the first phase, and the memory buffer flush request requests that data in buffers of persistent memory devices in the system be flushed to persistent memory. A memory buffer flush response is sent in the second phase responsive to the memory buffer flush response.
