    Abstract: This invention is a patient-specific surgical guide for percutaneous fixation of fractures designed for detection of the point of insertion, direction and angle of metal-ware (wires, screws, plates or nails). The patient-specific surgical guide seated on a bony landmark, the interior surface of the guide matches the surface anatomy of bones and fit in a single secure position for the reduction of bony or joint displacement and to insert wires or metal ware in bone and joints without need for fluoroscopic imaging. The guide comprising of a flying arc (3) with pointed introducers (1, 2) at its ends, detachable rods (27,28) and trajectory sleeves (6, 7, 24).     Abstract: A patient specific guide for hip replacement for patients undergoing hip replacement surgery. The guide works for correction of the acetabulum defects based on a finite element model, which detect the bone quality and guide the surgeons for the optimum screws trajectories. The guide surface reflects the acetabular morphology which provide a correct posting of the cup, especially for the complex case as bone loss, severe fractures and tumors. CT-scan images are used to construct the 3D model of the acetabulum bone, therefore a finite element and virtual surgery planning methods are applied to create the electronic file of the patient specific guide. In final step, the 3D printers are used to produce the patient specific guide.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a surgical device for preparing the knee joint of a patient undergoing to partial knee replacement. The device is patient specific and has information about implant size, alignment and bone cut. This device consists of two parts, one is related to femoral template and the other one is related to tibial template. The femoral template positioned to a predefined location on the femur bone based on virtual planning of the surgery on specific software using 3D imaging. The femoral template allows to perform the posterior distal cut, drill and detect the location of the two holes relevant to the distal cut and implant pegs, while the tibial template allows the surgeon to make the tibial horizontal and vertical cuts; beside that, it has double slots which allows the surgeon to make extra bone removal if needed or when deciding to use larger size of polyethylene insert.

The inventor create a method and device to overcome the difficulties of this surgery as determining the size of the revision prosthesis and position of it on the bone after cut and replacement of the failed primary prosthesis. This method enable the surgeons to overcome the abnormalities, distortions and artifacts on bone surface which resulted from the CT scan due to the primary implant. It enables the surgeons to detect the size and position of the implant, also uses land marks on bone surface to design and product the device which use to perform the bone cutting. The device enables the surgeon to determine and guiding the bone cuts below the cement plane in case of cemented implants. The apparatus is compact, portable and suitable for hospital-based or clinic-based service. It integrates the data from multiple sources and has sensor fusion ability. The increased use of pedicle screws in scoliosis creates a challenge for accurate and safe placement of screw within the pedicle during the scoliosis surgery.
