  • Patent number: 11119055
Abstract: A method for operating an X-ray system having the steps of “manually setting the first and a second position for the manipulator on a trajectory by means of a virtual input unit”, “recording or simulating recording from the first and second positions” and “representing the two X-ray recordings”.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 1, 2019
Date of Patent: September 14, 2021
Assignee: Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Foerderung der angewandten Forschung e.V.
    Inventors: Mahmoud Amr, Tobias Schoen
  • Patent number: 11026653
Abstract: A method for calibrating an X-ray system having a radiation source and a radiation detector has the steps of establishing a kinematic model for at least one position, setting starting values, calibrating and solving a system of equations by means of minimizing. The system of equations is set up by the respective established kinematic model of the X-ray system, wherein the system of equations has respective sets of kinematic parameters for each position, and parameters to be calibrated which are usually equal over all the positions. In the step of setting the starting values, the parameters to be calibrated are set and, based on these, in the step of calibrating, at least one recording is taken by means of calibration bodies so that a comparison of the measuring results to respective references results in an error measure. This error measure is minimized when solving the system of equations.

  • Patent number: 6543244
Abstract: A transport refrigeration unit is utilized to cool a transport refrigerated container. Air cooled by an inclined evaporator is drawn through the evaporator by an evaporator transverse fan and discharged in the refrigerated container. Air drawn through a condenser by a condenser transverse fan approximately 1.2 to 1.5 times the size of the evaporator transverse fan is discharged outside the refrigeration unit. The axes of the pair of heat exchanger fans are substantially parallel to an axis of a motor shaft which drives the fans. A continuous belt passes over pulleys of the fans and motor shaft to drive the fans as the motor operates. A corrugated partition between the evaporator and the condenser insulates the walls of the refrigerated container and the frame of the refrigerated unit.

  • Patent number: 6508628
Abstract: The subject invention is a method of fabricating a high solidity axial fan assembly to improve fan stall properties to allow the fan assembly to run at slower speeds. The method includes the steps of providing a first plurality of fan blades attached to a first hub, providing a second plurality of fan blades attached to a second hub, interfitting said second plurality of fan blades between said first plurality of fan blades; and interlocking and securing with fasteners the second hub onto the first hub.

  • Patent number: 5935281
Abstract: A filter assembly 10 includes a housing 12 defining a filter chamber having a first region forming a contaminated air inlet chamber 30 and a second region forming a clean air outlet chamber 40. A filter element 20 extends within the housing between the inlet chamber 30 and the outlet chamber 40. A flow barrier member 60 protrudes from the housing into a cooperating groove 70 provided in the end face of the filter element 20. The flow barrier forms a labyrinth type seal blocking contaminated air from bypassing the filter element.
