Patent number: 12009760Abstract: An electronic device may include an inverter. The inverter may convert direct current (DC) power to alternating current (AC) power. The inverter may use a clock signal at a given frequency to output corresponding alternating current signals at the given frequency. The inverter may receive a dithered clock signal that is frequency dithered using a modulating signal. The dithered clock signal may have at least three different frequency levels during a repeated cycle of the modulating signal. The at least three different frequency levels may include a fundamental frequency, a first frequency that is lower than the fundamental frequency, and a second frequency that is higher than the fundamental frequency. The dithered clock signal may be, during the repeated cycle of the modulating signal, at the fundamental frequency for fewer total periods than at the first frequency and for fewer total periods than at the second frequency.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2023Date of Patent: June 11, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Sujeet Milind Patole, Cheung-Wei Lam, Mahmoud N Mahmoud

Patent number: 11530619Abstract: A system includes one or more sensors to detect unintended forward and reverse rotation of rotating machinery. The system also includes a monitoring system consisting of a processor, memory, display and communication interface. The processor receives signals from the sensors. The processor determines unintended rotation when the pattern of received signals match with the conditions defined in the processor. The processor generates a notification signal of “Unintended Rotation” on the display. The notification signal is also sent to the operator workstation to alert the operating personnel. The notification history is also stored in the system memory. The system is also configured to initiate automatic action to stop the unintended rotation and protect the machinery components from unintended rotation. The action may include closing the suction and discharge valve and starting the lubrication system to lube the bearings of the rotating machinery and the motor.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 2021Date of Patent: December 20, 2022Assignee: SAUDI ARABIAN OIL COMPANYInventors: Kinjalkumar P. Publication number: 20210098921Abstract: Spring clips that provide a reliable, low-impedance, low-harmonic path between various conductive enclosure components of electronic devices. These spring clips can include a low-impedance connection on each of two ends, where each end physically and electrically connects to an enclosure component of an electronic device. This can reduce an impedance between enclosure components and reduce the amplitude and harmonics of signals coupled onto them from a nearby antenna or other waveguide.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 24, 2020Publication date: April 1, 2021Applicant: Apple Inc.Inventors: Mahmoud N.
