  • Patent number: 11455808
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the classification of parking spaces in a surrounding region of a vehicle with a driver support system, wherein the vehicle comprises at least one first surroundings sensor and a second surroundings sensor, comprising the steps of receiving first sensor data out of the surrounding region by the driver support system from the at least one first surroundings sensor, recognizing a parking-space-like partial region of the surrounding region in the first sensor data, requesting second sensor data acquired by the at least one second surroundings sensor out of the parking-space-like partial region by the driver support system as soon as the parking-space-like partial region is recognized in the first sensor data, transmitting the requested second sensor data to a vehicle-side computing unit comprising a deep neural network (DNN), and classifying the parking-space-like partial region into categories with the DNN, wherein the categories comprise legal, parkable parking spaces and

  • Publication number: 20190371175
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a server, method, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for automated parking. According to an embodiment, the above-described server, method, and computer-readable storage medium of the present disclosure generally relate to receiving a parking request from a mobile device associated with a vehicle, receiving sensor data from one or more sensors of the vehicle, generating a fusion map based at least on the sensor data, from the one or more sensors, detecting one or more parking spaces within a pre-defined distance from the vehicle based on the fusion map, receiving, from the mobile device, a selection of one of the detected parking spaces in response to sending information corresponding to the detected parking spaces to the mobile device, generating a parking trajectory corresponding to the selected parking space, and transmitting, to the vehicle, the parking trajectory, the transmission enabling an automated parking procedure by the vehicle.
