    Abstract: Oral lichen planus (OLP) is an immunologic disease which can be controlled and cleared by topical application of a composition of triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% and retinoic acid 0.05% in Orabase® on the affected areas of the mucosa, thrice daily for three weeks. The combined therapy is more effective than triamcinolone acetonide alone in Orabase®. By this method, clearance can be maintained by less frequent application or lower concentrations of the composition.
