  • Publication number: 20230174790
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a dual-reactive composition including a). from 24% to 90% by weight of crosslinkable silane-functional monomer and/or oligomer and/or polymer; b). from 9% to 75% by weight of one monomer and/or unsaturated oligomer and/or unsaturated polymer; c). from 0.5% to 10% by weight of one initiator; and d). from 0.5% to 10% by weight of one catalyst, all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the coating composition and a film obtained from curing and drying of the coating composition as well as a substrate coated with the dual-reactive coating composition. Additionally disclosed herein is a process for preparing the dual-reactive coating composition and a roll-to-roll coating composition and a 1K clearcoat composition including the dual-reactive coating composition.

  • Patent number: 11015006
Abstract: The present invention relates to coated polymer particles comprising a water-swellable polymer core and an essentially continuous coating encapsulating the core. The coating comprises an oxide, hydroxide or oxide hydrate of silicon, aluminum, zirconium, tin or titanium. The polymer particles do not show instantaneous swelling, when contacted with water or a water-containing liquid, but show delayed water absorption after an appropriate period of time. The coated polymer particles may be used in oil fields, in mining, for construction chemical compositions or as carrier for active substances. The coated polymer particles are prepared by a suspension coating process or a fluidized bed coating process.

  • Publication number: 20190152854
Abstract: A method for producing a geopolymer foam is proposed, comprising providing a foamable formulation, foaming the formulation, and allowing the foamed formulation to harden. The foamable formulation comprises at least one inorganic binder selected from the group consisting of latent hydraulic binders, pozzolanic binders and mixtures thereof; at least one alkaline activator selected from the group consisting of alkali metal hydroxides, alkali metal carbonates, alkali metal aluminates, alkali metal silicates and mixtures thereof; at least one surfactant; nanocellulose and water. The mechanical properties of the foam are improved by incorporating nanocellulose.

  • Publication number: 20190119453
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparing core-shell particles having a polymer core and a continuous silica shell. The in situ formed core-shell architecture suppresses film formation of the polymer and simplifies the subsequent drying process. The finally obtained free flowing polymer powder exhibits improved redispersibility and storage stability and imparts building material compositions improved viscosity and faster skin-forming time.
