  • Patent number: 9422728
Abstract: A fastening device includes a receptor portion having an angled through hole extending from a first surface of the receptor portion to a second surface of the receptor portion, wherein the angled through hole has an angled axis. The fastening device further includes a top portion having at least a first flange and a second flange extending generally outwardly from the receptor portion. The flanges generally define a flange plane. The angled axis intersects the flange plane at an intersecting angle between 0 and 90 degrees.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 17, 2014
Date of Patent: August 23, 2016
    Assignee: Precision Made Products

  • Patent number: 5426124
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the production of polyurethane foam moldings having a compact surface skin and a density of at least 150 kg/m.sup.3 comprising foaming a polyurethane-forming starting mixture inside a mold. The starting mixture comprises organic blowing agents which correspond to one or both of the following general formulas:HOOC--R--COOH (I)wherein: R represents a CH.sub.2 group or a CH.dbd.CH group;and ##STR1## wherein: R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently of one another represent either a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1-6 alkyl radical wherein the hydrogen atoms may be partly substituted by OH groups.

  • Patent number: 5275888
Abstract: A novel polyurethane prepared by reacting a) a specific polyol or specific polyol blend, b) an organic diamine, c) fillers, and d) a specific polyisocyanate is described. The invention also relates to the use of the polyurethane in the preparation of a composite structure wherein the polyurethane is applied to an adhesive coated ceramic enamel layer. The composites are eminently suitable for use in plumbing applications (e.g. as a bathtub).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 4, 1993
Date of Patent: January 4, 1994
    Assignee: Miles Inc.

  • Patent number: 5141967
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing polyurea-polyurethane elastomers comprising reacting in a closed mold, in accordance with the reaction injection molding technique at an isocyanate index of about 95 to about 110, an isocyanate prepolymer having an isocyanate content of about 5 wt. % to 10 wt. % and a molecular weight range of about 1000 to 4000 with a diamine chain extender having no isocyanate-reactive groups other than amino groups in the substantial absence of compounds having isocyanate-reactive groups other than amino groups. The present invention further relates to the polyureapolyurethane elastomers produced by the process of this invention.
