    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to generating pre DFT RS and data multiplexed DFT-S-OFDM with excess bandwidth shaping. The RS and user data are transmitted in different OFDM symbols, such that channel estimation to equalize the data can be estimated clearly at the receiver. The present disclosure a method for transmitting a waveform is disclosed. The method comprising generating, by a transmitter, at least one of: at least one data sequence and at least one reference sequence (RS). Also the method comprises time-multiplexing the at least one data sequence with the at least one RS, to generate a multiplexed sequence, and generating a filtered-extended bandwidth DFT-s-OFDM symbol using the multiplexed sequence. Also, the method transmits RS and user data in one OFDM symbol with DFT-s-OFDM, which eventually offers low PAPR. Further, the method transmits only RS so that low PAPR is achieved.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a base station and method for communication in a communication network. The method comprising signaling a DMRS-configuration or SRS-configuration to at least one UE. The DMRS-configuration comprises signaling at least one antenna port number from multiple antenna port numbers, each antenna port number indicates location of occupied subcarriers and null subcarriers associated with a DMRS transmission of the at least one UE. The SRS-configuration comprises signaling of parameters associated with a time, a frequency and a code. The method also comprises receiving a data and DMRS signals, or SRS signals corresponding to the at least one UE. Further, grouping a subset of the signals corresponding to a subset of antennas to generate a plurality of signal groups. Next, performing first stage filtering at RU followed by second stage filtering at DU of the signals associated with each signal groups to obtain filtered signals.

    Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method of estimating channel states of a plurality of user equipments (UEs) in a single instance. The method includes receiving pilot samples from the plurality of UEs. The method includes selecting a predetermined number of tones, wherein the channel associated with each UE across the selected pre-determined number of tones is same. The method includes collecting the received pilot samples from each pilot symbol and stacking the received pilot samples as a vector. Further, the method includes constructing a matrix. The matrix includes known pilot values used by each UE. Furthermore, the method includes estimating channel states of the plurality of UEs by applying a filter on the vector formed from the received pilot samples. The number of channel states to be estimated is reduced by selecting the pre-determined number of tones.
