    Abstract: A switching power supply wherein an inductor device is connected to the center tap of a primary winding of a transformer with a switching device provided to apply high frequency signals to the transformer concurrently with a rectified smoothed input signal applied to the primary winding concurrently by another inductor device so that the secondary winding of the transformer produces a DC output signal which is free of harmonic current and whereby the switching power supply power factor is improved.
