Abstract: A wireless communication device has: wireless communication unit; calculation unit for calculating an evaluation value based on an opportunity for communication with the access providing device; transmission unit for transmitting the evaluation value to the other wireless communication device; acquisition unit for acquiring an evaluation value for the other wireless communication device; and communication control unit. When the other wireless communication device has more opportunities for communication than the wireless communication device does, the communication control unit preferably transmits uplink information, but when the other wireless communication device has less opportunity for communication than the wireless communication device does, the communication control unit preferably transmits downlink information.

Abstract: A vehicle rental management apparatus configured to incorporate an unused parking space as a station of a vehicle used in a vehicle rental service to manage rental of the vehicle, includes an electronic control unit having a microprocessor and a memory connected to the microprocessor. The microprocessor is configured to perform managing a reservation data of a user of the vehicle; and determining whether use of the vehicle by a station manager managing the station is possible. The determining further includes permitting use of the vehicle by the station manager within a reservable time period during which the vehicle is not reserved by the user when the reservable time period of a predetermined length is found from the vehicle reservation data managed in the managing.

The selecting unit favorably preferentially selects data included in a group with a smaller number of pieces of data based on the summary information received from the other node. Due to such a configuration, information with a high possibility of not being possessed by a communication partner can be selected and transmitted in a data sharing system.

The wireless communication apparatus receives the control frame, determines whether the wireless communication apparatus retains information which is specified as being necessary by the subscription information included in the control frame. When the wireless communication apparatus retains the information, the wireless communication apparatus establishes connection to the wireless connection providing apparatus and transmits the information. The subscription information can be stored in an ESSID of a beacon frame, for example.
