    Abstract: A radiation-curable resin which exhibits a high curing rate and good adhesion property when used as a binder for printing inks and a binder for coating materials, obtained by reacting (a) a phenolic hydroxyl group-containing aromatic hydrocarbon resin having a hydroxyl value of 40 to 130 mg.KOH/g resin prepared by polymerizing an aromatic fraction with a phenol compound in the presence of a Friedel-Crafts catalyst with (b) a polyisocyanate in an excessive amount relative to hydroxyl group, and then reacting remaining isocyanate groups with (c) and .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated compound having an active hydrogen.
