  • Patent number: 7142711
Abstract: In a color conversion section 10a, a mode judging section 31 judges a mode in effect: a copy mode or a printer mode, according to a mode judging signal. When the copy mode is identified, the mode judging section 31 supplied RGB data to a first color conversion process section 32, and the first color conversion section 32 carries out a first color conversion process in which a transitional color conversion value, which is color-transited from a precise color conversion value and a memory color conversion value, is set as a color conversion value with respect to memory color corresponding data. When the printer mode is identified, the mode judging section 31 supplies the RGB data to a second color conversion process section 33, and the second color conversion process section 33 carries out a second color conversion process in which the memory color conversion value is set as a color conversion value with respect to the memory color corresponding data.

  • Patent number: 6144776
Abstract: An image reader having a shading correction function includes a scanner for scanning an original, a converter for converting the received light from the original into electric signals and outputting the electric signal as data of an read image, and a corrector for carrying out a shading correction operation on the data of the read image on the basis of a shading correction value and outputting corrected image data. The corrector computes shading correction values for the whole reading face of the original platen from the shading correction value at an arbitrary position on the reading face and carries out the shading correction operation on the data of the read image on the basis of the computed shading correction values.

  • Patent number: 5930388
Abstract: A color image processing apparatus of the present invention includes (1) first lattice for dividing a color separation signal space in the form of a lattice so as to store in a table coordinates of lattice points of the color separation signal space thus divided and (2) second lattice for further dividing a specific unit cube of the lattice in the form of a lattice so as to additionally store in the table coordinates of lattice points of the specific unit cube thus divided. Depending on whether or not inputted image data of image information belong to the specific unit cube of the lattice, color correction method having different conversion accuracy is adopted, thereby permitting to provide a color image processing apparatus which reduce the occurrence of an error when color-correcting a color requiring accurate color correction, and prevent the continuity of an image from being not kept.

  • Patent number: 5909506
Abstract: A color correcting device includes (1) a color correcting section furnished with a plurality of color correcting systems having their respective color correcting rates and color correcting accuracy, (2) a representative color selecting section for selecting representative colors from a color separation signal of an original image, and (3) a color correcting system selecting section for selecting one of the color correcting systems based on the color correcting result of the representative colors, whereby the color correcting device converts the color separation signal of the original image into a color correcting signal using the color correcting system selected by the color correcting system selecting section. This arrangement makes it possible to judge the quality of a color-corrected image without subjecting all the input image data of the original image to the color correcting operation. Consequently, a copy image of the original image can be made efficiently with satisfactory color correcting accuracy.

  • Patent number: 5774230
Abstract: A color image processing apparatus including a read device for reading an original image, a color correcting device for color-correcting input image data using a color-correcting neural network, and an output device for outputting color-corrected image data. The neural network with teacher data, which are in effect learning color data reflecting the visual characteristics of human eyes, using learning data produced by reading a copy image produced based on the learning color data. Accordingly, the neural network can correct colors accurately in a manner to fully reflect the visual characteristics of human eyes, thereby making the color difference between the original image and a copy of the same less noticeable.

  • Patent number: 4826781
Abstract: A method for preparing an improved semiconductor device having a transistor and a capacitor or an element isolating region in or on a semiconductor substrate by a self-alignment process is provided. Each of the elements is formed using a previously formed element as a mask so that no additional processes are necessary to align the elements at the desired position. Specifically, a gate electrode is formed first and then a capacitor, element isolating region and contact hole are formed in such a way that the room required for alignment of the gate electrode and the capacitor, the gate electrode and the element isolating region and the gate electrode and the contact hole is reduced. The process is extremely advantageous for miniaturization of the semiconductor device. The device prepared by such a process is also provided.
