Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer having excellent heat resistance and mechanical properties, and capable of obtaining one having a low hardness without using a plasticizer. A method for producing a polyurethane elastomer, which comprises reacting a polyol compound and a polyisocyanate compound, characterized by using, as all or part of the above polyol compound, a polyester ether polyol (A) obtainable by ring-opening polymerization of a mixture of an alkylene oxide and a lactone monomer with an initiator.
