  • Patent number: 8099604
Abstract: A first information-communication device generates first biometric pattern used for comparison based on user biometric information retrieved by a biometric sensor, and sends the generated first biometric pattern to a second biometric information-communication device. The second information-communication device compares the first biometric pattern sent from the first information-communication device with second biometric pattern, which is user biometric pattern stored in memory, and sends the second biometric pattern to the first information-communication device when the compared biometric pattern matches. The first information-communication device then stores the second biometric pattern sent from the second information-communication device.

  • Patent number: 8069361
Abstract: A determining unit determines the state of the microprocessor. A setting unit sets a power supply voltage to be supplied to the microprocessor according to the state of the microprocessor determined by the determining unit. A power supply circuit supplies the power supply voltage set by the setting unit, to the microprocessor via a power supply line. The determining unit determines repeatedly the state of the microprocessor at preset timing, and the setting unit resets the power supply voltage every time the determination is performed by the determining unit.

  • Patent number: 7917347
Abstract: Mechanisms for generating a worst case current waveform for testing of integrated circuit devices are provided. Architectural analysis of an integrated circuit device is first performed to determine an initial worst case power workload to be applied to the integrated circuit device. Thereafter, the derived worst case power workload is applied to a model and is simulated to generate a worst case current waveform that is input to an electrical model of the integrated circuit device to generate a worst case noise budget value. The worst case noise budget value is then compared to measured noise from application of the worst case power workload to a hardware implemented integrated circuit device. The worst case current waveform may be selected for future testing of integrated circuit devices or modifications to the simulation models may be performed and the process repeated based on the results of the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20100266121
Abstract: An IC chip includes: a first memory which stores a control program for executing cryptographic processing; a second memory which stores an application; an arithmetic processor which receives first data including at least part of a cryptographic private key stored in a predetermined area of the application, and executes the cryptographic processing in accordance with the control program; and an auxiliary arithmetic processor which executes predetermined arithmetic processing under control of the arithmetic processor. If the first data does not match a data format defined by a software interface of the auxiliary arithmetic processor, the arithmetic processor controls to generate second data by processing the first data so as to match the data format, and to store the generated second data in a data table provided in the second memory.

  • Patent number: 7737824
Abstract: A hierarchical structure is established among a plurality of RFID tags, such that ID numbers can be read only from RFID tags which belong to a particular layer. RFID tag can control whether permission should be given to read its ID number therefrom to protect the ID number. Data held in the RFID tag can be read from the outside. RFID tag comprises a memory circuit having a function of holding data, and a logic circuit having a function of processing a control command received from outside. Memory circuit stores an own ID number for identifying the RFID tag itself, and a parent ID number for identifying a second RFID tag. When RFID tag receives an ID number read command which contains first data as a parameter from outside, the logic circuit outputs the own ID number to outside only when the first data matches the parent ID number.

  • Patent number: 7716516
Abstract: A technology for supplying a power supply voltage to a microprocessor. Before normal arithmetic processing of the microprocessor, duty cycle correction process for adjusting the duty cycle of a clock signal inside the microprocessor is performed. • Patent number: 7628323
Abstract: In a settlement transaction system or settlement transaction method using the system, the system includes a content providing server conducting a digital broadcast, for example, for a CS broadcast, a BS broadcast, a CATV, or a broadcast using ground waves; a settlement server to execute settlement transaction or settlement transaction, an order placement managing server to execute order placement processing, and an order managing server which receives an order of a request from a user to purchase articles and which sends an associated indication to the settlement server and the order placement managing server according to information of the order. The user operates a terminal in which an IC card communication application to communicate with an IC card is only installed. It then becomes possible to reduce a load imposed onto the system in association with a change to an existing digital broadcast system.
