  • Patent number: 6892869
Abstract: A multi-plate friction clutch includes: a clutch piston 10 which is fitted to a clutch outer and capable of being hydraulically operated to press a group of first and second friction plates toward a pressure-receiving plate; an annular retaining groove formed in a pressing surface of the clutch piston; and a buffering Belleville spring accommodated in the retaining groove and capable of abutting resiliently against the group of the first and second friction plates. The retaining groove has an annular projection formed at its axial opening edge for inhibiting the disengagement of the Belleville spring from the retaining groove. Thus, even when the number of the friction plates is increased, a total gap between the clutch piston and the pressure-receiving plate can be set freely without giving consideration to the falling-off of the Belleville spring.

  • Patent number: 6638469
Abstract: A waved disk for use in a friction engaging apparatus has toothed portions along an outer or inner edge thereof, and is bent or undulated in a direction of the plate thickness with the circumferential direction as the direction of a wave length. In manufacturing the waved disk, there is used a press with a stationary die and a movable die. The stationary die has a plurality of radially elongated pressing portions raised from the surface of the stationary die so as to correspond to highest portions of mountains of the wave. The movable die has a plurality of radially elongated pressing portions raised from the surface of the movable die so as to correspond to lowest portions of valleys of the wave. A disk blank is pressed between the stationary and movable dies for being pressed in the direction of the plate thickness.

  • Patent number: 6172709
Abstract: A video camera system comprises a lens block and a camera block which are attachable and detachable through a block coupling mechanism to and from each other. The detachable lens block incorporates a focus lens drive mechanism for driving a focus lens and an autofocus control section for executing autofocus control. The autofocus control section receives a composite video signal obtained by processing a video signal from an image pickup device in a signal processing section of the camera block. The autofocus control section produces a focus control signal on the basis of the composite video signal to control the focus lens drive mechanism for the execution of the autofocus control. In addition, the detachable lens block is composed of an iris drive mechanism for optically adjusting an aperture of a lens and an autoiris control section for automatically controlling the iris drive mechanism, so that automatic iris control is executed on the basis of the composite video signal outputted from the camera block.

  • Patent number: 5772515
Abstract: In a torque damper including damper springs accommodated in a channel defined around an outer periphery of a transmitting member with guide sheets sandwiched therebetween, notches are provided in an outer peripheral wall of the channel. Radially outward directed positioning claws on the guide sheets are engaged in the notches and urged axially by radially outward directed retaining claws on guide plates which are secured to a transmitting member to cover outer surfaces of the damper springs in the channel. Thus, the circumferential and axial movements of the guide sheets can be inhibited to prevent vibration of the guide sheets and wearing of the channel.

  • Patent number: 5129137
Abstract: A spring seat is disposed about a tube which forms part of a shock absorber and supported in a predetermined position thereabout. The tube is subject to press bulge formation so that a portion of the tube becomes force fitted against a portion of the spring seat. Dies can be used to induce the formation of one or more projections which prevent the spring seat from moving axially along the tube. The force fit prevents relative rotation.
