  • Patent number: 5251080
Abstract: A recording or reproducing apparatus which performs loading and unloading operations of a tape relative to a magnetic head unit and moves tape guide members by rotatably driving two loading rings on which the corresponding tape guide members are mounted. Driving force transmission members are provided for transmitting the rotation of one of the rings to the other ring, and elastic members are provided for driving the transmission members in a predetermined direction. The tape guide member mounted on the one ring is pressed against a locating member by the force of the elastic member during loading of the tape.

  • Patent number: 5107380
Abstract: A rotary head type recording or reproducing apparatus of the type in which the recording or reproduction of signals is effected by tracing a recording medium transported in a predetermined direction with rotary heads in a direction which is at less than 90.degree. with respect to this predetermined direction. The apparatus is provided with a rewinding mode in which the above-mentioned recording medium is transported in a direction reverse to the above-mentioned predetermined direction without performing the recording or reproduction of signals, with the rotary heads being in the condition where they can trace the recording medium. In this rewinding mode, the rotary heads are rotated in a direction reverse to their rotating direction during the recording or reproduction of signals.

  • Patent number: 4391513
Abstract: A device wherein object images are formed on photoelectric converter means arranged in the form of a row by a pair of imaging optical systems fixedly disposed with a base line length therebetween and the spacing between the two images is electrically detected to thereby determine the distance to the object, includes a mechanism with which the two images formed by the pair of optical systems can be relatively displaced and regulated in three directions perpendicular to one another and the row-like photoelectric converter means is rotatable about the optical axis of one of the pair of imaging optical systems and in a plane perpendicular to said optical axis. The entire range finding optical mechanism is rotatable about two axes orthogonal to each other.

  • Patent number: 4191460
Abstract: A camera having a zoom lens with a focusing range changeover device for selectively permitting photography in either one of the ordinary zoom and macro-zoom modes. An automatic focus adjustment is effected by measuring a distance from the camera to an object to be photographed through an optical system outside the zoom lens. When the camera is switched by the changeover device from the ordinary zoom mode to the macro-zoom mode, the automatic focus adjustment device is excluded automatically, or the film winding and shutter cocking mechanism are caused to be simultaneously inoperative. Upon movement of a knob from the autofocusing position, the mechanism is caused to be operative with manual focusing to thereby avoid reduction of image sharpness due to the parallax error which is greatly increased in macro-photography.
