  • Patent number: 4791040
Abstract: The photoconductive layer (3) has a triple-layer structure comprised of an upper layer (33) made of amorphous silicon containing germanium and carbon, a middle layer (32) made of amorphous silicon containing germanium, and a lower layer (31) made of amorphous silicon. The upper layer (33) formed between a surface layer (4) and the middle layer (32), and the lower layer (31) formed between the middle layer (32) and a barrier layer (2) serve to reduce the energy difference and the interfacial state between respective layers thus, high electrophotographic sensitivity for a longer wavelength light can be obtained, and sensitivity in the oscillation wavelength of a GaAlAs diode laser improves effectively.

  • Patent number: 4672015
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrophotographic member which is highly sensitive to the light of long wavelengths. Amorphous silicon is used as a photosensitive base member. A long wavelength sensitizing region has a narrower forbidden band gap width than that of the base member, and consists of at least two semiconductor films that are laminated and that have at least different forbidden band gap widths or different conductivities. An increased number of semiconductor films may, of course, be laminated to constitute the sensitizing region.

  • Patent number: 4315845
Abstract: A process for preparing a chemically platable thermosetting powder coating characterized by preliminarily kneading a composition comprising 3 to 50% by weight of a thermosetting resin, 5 to 60% by weight of an inorganic filler and up to 80% by weight of a rubber component comprising at least 10% by weight of a rubber having ethylenic double bonds and polar groups in the molecule, the amount of which rubber component constitutes the total amount of rubber component in the final powder coating, the rubber component content of the composition to be subjected to the preliminary kneading being at least twice the rubber component content of the final powder coating, said composition being heated at a temperature of at least the melting point of the thermosetting resin at least once during the course of the preliminary kneading, thereby to effect efficient dispersion of the components.
