Patent number: 9175646Abstract: In an EGR valve, a valve element is seatable on a valve seat by stroke movement of a valve stem caused by an actuator. The valve seat has a cylindrical part with which a step of the stem is engageable. By the stroke movement of the valve stem, the opening degree between the valve seat and the valve element is changed. The valve seat is moved in the passage in the stroke movement direction to be engageable with a shoulder of the passage. As the valve element is moved together with the stem, the opening degree in the low opening range is changed. As the step of the stem is engaged with the cylindrical part and the valve seat is moved with respect to the shoulder, the opening degree in the high opening range is changed.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2013Date of Patent: November 3, 2015Assignee: AISAN KOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Makoto Hatano, Yukiya Kato, Makoto Fujimori

Publication number: 20090020099Abstract: Provided is a butterfly valve-type throttle valve of an internal combustion engine capable of absorbing a dispersion in valve opening degree at closed positions to reduce a leakage of air by solving problems, for example, with a multi-arrayed variable intake valve device in which a plurality of throttle valves mounted on a single turning shaft are opened and closed, a dispersion in valve opening degree is liable to occur at the closed positions due to the mounting errors of the throttle valves on the turning shaft and, accordingly, it is difficult to reduce the leakage of air. A clearance closing member (12) is supported in a floating state along a peripheral edge of a valve body (11) and displaced or elastically deformed to eliminate or reduce a clearance between the clearance closing member and an inner wall surface (2a) of an intake passage.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2006Publication date: January 22, 2009Applicant: AISAN KOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Takashi Bessho, Makoto Fujimori, Takio Suzuki, Shigeru Suzuki

Patent number: 7305958Abstract: An intake manifold including a collecting pipe and a plurality of branch pipes comprises a single gas intake port, a gas outlet port opening into each branch pipe, and a gas passage extending to be divided into more than one branch passages from the gas intake port to each gas outlet port. The gas passage is configured so that the branch passages are equal in pressure loss which will be generated between the gas inlet port and each gas outlet port, and the gas passage extends to be branched in stages from the gas inlet port to each gas outlet port, forming a tournament-form configuration which is symmetrical about the gas inlet port. The collecting pipe and each branch pipe are integrally molded of resin. The gas inlet port and the gas passage are provided in a projecting section integrally molded with the branch pipes.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2006Date of Patent: December 11, 2007Assignee: Aisan Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yukihiro Doko, Makoto Fujimori

Patent number: 7082915Abstract: A resin intake manifold is provided with an integrally formed base member. The base member has a U-shaped curved distribution passage lower surface wall portion, an engine mounting flange portion formed in one end of the distribution passage lower surface wall portion, and a surge tank peripheral wall portion formed in another end and a lower surface side of the distribution passage lower surface wall portion. A resonator peripheral wall portion is integrally formed in a dead space in a lower surface side of the distribution passage lower surface wall portion and between the surge tank peripheral wall portion and the engine mounting flange portion. In accordance with the structure in which the wall itself constituting the resonator is formed by the structure member, it is possible to structure the resonator without enlarging a size of the intake manifold and without lowering the strength.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2004Date of Patent: August 1, 2006Assignee: Aisan Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hironori Tanikawa, Makoto Fujimori, Kazuhiro Aiki

Patent number: 5870988Abstract: An intake manifold is manufactured by assembling resin-molded parts without using any cores, so that compactness, light-weight, low-cost and improvement of engine performance can be achieved. A inner pipe is fit-inserted into a cylindrical tubular part of an outer pipe, thereby a outer pipe support is fixed on. By fitted parts, a positioning of a direction of circumference of the outer pipe and the inner pipe is performed. The air from a inlet flows into a sarge tank through a throttle valve. Afterward, the air flows from a manifold passage inlet to a manifold passage so as to lead to intake ports of engine cylinders by passing from a straight passage through an outlet.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 1997Date of Patent: February 16, 1999Assignee: Aisan Industry Co., LtdInventors: Makoto Fujimori, Isamu Suzuki, Yasuyuki Akasaka
