  • Patent number: 8169650
Abstract: According to this invention, the date range can be intuitively designated by designating up, down, left, and right directions, and images stored in a storage medium can be easily restricted to images which may be subjected to printing. In order to restrict images stored in a memory card on the basis of the date, a region for inputting the start date of the date range is displayed at the upper portion of a display window on a display device, and a region for inputting the end date is displayed at the lower portion. One of the regions is designated and selected with up and down direction keys. A date in the selected region is changed with left and right direction keys. Images having storage dates between the start date and the end date are decided as printing target candidates.

  • Publication number: 20120096376
Abstract: The display control apparatus specifies a position on the display screen that is specified by the user according to an instruction from the user, and displays information on the display screen that is set by the specified first position and second position, and that indicates data to be displayed from among a plurality of items of data on the display screen. When the user further specifies a third position, the display control apparatus determines whether an instruction from the user for specifying the third position is a specified instruction that differs from an instruction for specifying the second position. When it is determined that the instruction is the specified instruction, the display control apparatus displays data, from among the plurality of items of data, that corresponds to the information displayed on the display screen.

  • Patent number: 7907304
Abstract: An image recording apparatus, method, and program corrects a red-eye portion of an image without requiring a coordinate input apparatus, properly corrects a red-eye portion of the image present at a position designated by a user, and detects a red-eye portion of the image, without utilizing a fluorescent ink. The apparatus detects a correction candidate position in a digital image designated by the user by a predetermined method, extracts a contour from the designated digital image, prepares a monochromatic schematic image based on the extracted contour, prepares a marked schematic image by synthesizing an indicator mark, indicates a correction candidate position, in the correction candidate position detected by correction candidate position detecting device, and prepares a mark sheet by printing the marked schematic image and mark sheet data.

  • Patent number: 7274478
Abstract: A print-direct printer for receiving and printing JPEG data from a DSC divides the area of a memory into a plurality of blocks, stores the received JPEG data in the memory on a block-by-block basis and decompresses the compressed JPEG data that has been stored in the memory, thereby expanding the JPEG data into image data. If it is determined that JPEG data to be expanded next has not been stored in the memory, then the DSC is requested for JPEG data corresponding to at least one block, in an amount that is less than the maximum amount of data transferable from the DSC, in addition to the JPEG data to be expanded.

  • Patent number: 7139908
Abstract: An information processing apparatus comprising a power unit, a first control unit and a second control unit in which power supply is controlled based on a control signal from the first control unit, wherein when electric power supply from the power supply unit has been stopped and then the electric power supply from the power supply unit has been started, if update of a memory of the first control unit has been instructed, the first control unit transfers the content of a flash ROM in the first control unit into the memory thus updates the content of the memory. At this time, the second control unit is kept in a power-off status by a control signal line until the update of the memory is completed. After the completion of the update, power-on is notified by the control signal line, and the reset status of the second control unit is released.
