Abstract: A rotary magnetic head drum apparatus is constituted by at least one video head, a rotary drum having a tape running surface and a head mounting surface to which the video head is securely mounted, and a stationary drum provided with a tape guide and a tape running surface. In the rotary magnetic head drum apparatus, the tape running surface or the rotary drum has a lower end portion which is formed with a tapered portion whose diameter becomes gradually smaller along the axis of the rotary drum, and the tapered portion is projected such that its bottom end surface is located below the plane of the head mounting surface.

Abstract: A rotary magnetic head cylinder device for use in a helical-scanning system video tape recorder has a projection provided on a tape running race of a stationary lower cylinder near a location at which a magnetic tape leaves from the lower cylinder. The projection is preferably integral with the tape running race and has a small area which is defined by a shoulder circumferentially extending identically with a tape guide shoulder contouring the lower edge of the tape running race and which spreads perpendicularly to the tape running race, and an upper surface coplanar with the top face of the lower cylinder, and a height defined by a protruded length radially outwardly toward the outer circumferential surface of the lower cylinder. The projection serves to reduce vibrations of the magnetic tape generated when the video head carried by the rotary upper cylinder leaves from the magnetic tape.

Abstract: A rotary magnetic head device including a fixed cylinder and a rotary cylinder having a tape guide face on the outer peripheries for enabling running of a tape thereon. At least one magnetic head is installed on the rotary cylinder and a first conductive member is electrically connected with at least one coil of the magnetic head. A head connector is installed on the rotary cylinder and includes a second conductive member electrically connected to the first conductive member with at least one unbalance compensating weight being mounted on the head connector for enabling the magnetic and the head connector to be balance with respect to an axis of the rotary cylinder when the head connector is installed on the rotary cylinder.
