Abstract: A data processing apparatus includes a key input device, a display device, a schedule data memory for storing schedule data attached with a data and a time within the date inputted from the key input device by the day, a time calculator for calculating a present date and time based on a date and time initially set, an alarm setting device for setting a requisition of alarm in a schedule data of a desired data and time included in the schedule data stored in the schedule data memory, a comparator for comparing the present date and time outputted from the time calculator with the date and time attached to the schedule data set with the requisition of the alarm by the alarm setting device and a display controller for simultaneously displaying the schedule data set with the requisition of the alarm and other schedule data being adjacent to said schedule data when the result of the comparison by the comparator is conformable.

Abstract: A word processor with a text layout display function, arranged so as to confirm various input conditions from the information in a text frame which is displayed concurrently on the same screen. The word processor has a storage unit for storing various kinds of text frames, a readout unit for reading out one text frame from the storage unit, a display unit capable of forming an input region and/or text frame display region, a display control unit for concurrently displaying the words in the input region and the text frame in the text frame display region respectively, a converting unit for converting words into symbols which have been inputted on a character by character basis, and a symbol output unit for displaying the converted symbols in the text frame.

Abstract: A word processing apparatus with a function of an image-format control includes an image data storage for storing image data imputted in a certain format, an reading unit for reading the image data from the image data storage, a display device for displaying a region on a screen, a magnification/reduction control unit for calculating a virtual print size of the read image data, comparing the virtual print size with the size of the region, and magnifying or reducing the size of the read image data when those compared sizes are not equal so as to put the image within the region.

Abstract: An electrical calculator includes an inputting element for inputting numerical data. This input may include at least first and second unit data which are in the same category but are different levels such that the first unit is higher in level than the second unit. The calculator inhibits the entering of the higher level unit data when the higher level unit data is inputted immediately after entering numerical data followed by a lower level unit data.
