Publication number: 20060254747Abstract: An apparatus provided is capable of performing injection molding of a high-melting point metal. The injection molding apparatus comprises a mold, a sleeve disposed so as to be movable forward and backward toward a pouring gate of the mold, a plunger slidably disposed in the sleeve, a heating means for heating and melting a raw material lump supplied into a raw material accommodating part formed by an inside wall of the sleeve and the plunger mentioned above, and a raw material lump supplying means for supplying the raw material lump to the above-mentioned raw material accommodating part from above. For the purpose of ensuring that a melt of a metal which has been heated and melted hardly flows into a gap between the plunger and the sleeve, the above-mentioned plunger and/or sleeve is equipped with a cooling means.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2006Publication date: November 16, 2006Inventors: Mamoru Ishida, Makoto Kawanishi

Patent number: 5725333Abstract: A spiral end mill which can mill a substantially sharp inside corner of a work surface and attain a stable working accuracy for a long time. The spiral end mill has a hard sintered compact insert portion, a negative relief face a first circular land provided along the outer periphery of the insert portion, and a second circular land on the negative relief face so as to be continuous with the first circular land. The widths of the two circular lands may be the same as or different from each other, and the helix angle of a back line of the second circular land is less than that of the first circular land. A method of manufacturing the spiral end mill involves machining a relief angle in the outer periphery of the insert portion while changing the helix angle between the negative relief face and the rest of the outer periphery.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 1996Date of Patent: March 10, 1998Assignees: Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Makoto Abe, Yuichiro Kohno, Nobuo Yasuhira, Shuji Ueda, Kiyoji Aburaya, Seiji Nakatani, Makoto Kawanishi

Patent number: 5405462Abstract: A superplastic aluminum-based alloy material consisting of a matrix formed of aluminum or a supersaturated aluminum solid solution, whose average crystal grain size is 0.005 to 1 .mu.m, and particles made of a stable or metastable phase of various intermetallic compounds formed of the main alloying element (i.e., the matrix element) and the other alloying elements and/or of various intermetallic compounds formed of the other alloying elements and distributed evenly in the matrix, the particles having a mean particle size of 0.001 to 0.1 .mu.m. The superplastic aluminum-based alloy material is produced from a rapidly solidified material consisting of an amorphous phase, a microcrystalline phase or a mixed phase thereof by optionally heat treating at a prescribed temperature for a prescribed period of time and then subjecting to a single or combined thermo-mechanical treatment. The superplastic aluminum-based alloy material of the present invention is suited for to superplastic working.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 1994Date of Patent: April 11, 1995Assignees: Tsuyoshi Masumoto, Akihisa Inoue, Kenji Higashi, Yoshida Kogyo K.K.Inventors: Tsuyoshi Masumoto, Akihisa Inoue, Kenji Higashi, Katsumasa Ohtera, Makoto Kawanishi
