  • Patent number: 6882076
Abstract: In a rotary electric machine stator, a stator coil is formed of plural U-shaped conductor segments. Each of the conductor segments has a U-shaped turn portion disposed at one end of a stator core to form one of said coil ends, a pair of in-slot portion extending from the turn portion and inserted into slots and end portions extending from the in-slot portions to form the other coil end. One of the end portions of one of the U-shaped conductor segments extends straight in an axial direction, and the other bends in a circumferential direction by a predetermined angle to provide a wide cooling surface.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 11, 2002
Date of Patent: April 19, 2005
    Assignee: Denso Corporation
    Inventors: Makoto Masegi, Hiroshi Ishida

  • Patent number: 6522043
Abstract: In a vehicle AC generator, a stator winding includes star-connected three phase winding groups of a plurality of phase windings. Each phase winding group comprises series-connected two pairs of the phase windings that are 30 degree different in phase from each other. The phase windings of each pair are 180 degree different in phase from each other and series-connected by a first connection segment. The two pairs are series-connected by a second connection segment. Each phase winding is comprised of a plurality of U-shaped conductor segments, each of which has a turn portion, a pair of inclined portions having connection ends.

  • Patent number: 6426575
Abstract: A cooling fin is fixed to a frame and mounts a plurality of rectifying elements. The cooling fin is configured into a circular ring shape separated at a cutout section. A brush holder, a connector casing and an IC regulator are disposed in this cutout section. A circumferential gap of the cutout section is smaller than three times a circumferential width of the brush container.
