    Abstract: In a camera control system, a video signal from a camera is displayed on a monitor with some delay. An operation signal from a joystick disposed on the side of the monitor is transmitted to a data comparison circuit through a transmission system, a control unit and a counter. A panning operation on the camera is performed through a motor by applying a driving signal from a panhead driving circuit according to a difference between the operation signal and panning position detection data from a panning position detector. After that, in response to a signal indicating a stop of operation on the joystick, the control unit sends delayed panning position detection data obtained from a data delay circuit to the data comparison circuit. The panned position of the camera is thus shifted back to the panning position indicated by the delayed data obtained when the panning operation is stopped. The tilting and zooming operations on the camera can be controlled also in the same manner.

    Abstract: A clear print image is obtained from a moving image. A switch (66) for selectively supplying an output from a moving image input camera (60) or a still image input picture/image camera (64) to a still image coding circuit (68) is arranged in an image transmission terminal device (50). An output from a still image decoding circuit (82) is connected to a printer (86) in an image receiving terminal device. When a print image of an image photographed by the camera (60) is required, a moving image print indication is made at an operation panel (88). A data control circuit (76) supplies a switching signal for the switch (66) to the terminal device (50) to switch the switch (66) to the output side of the camera (60). The output from the camera (60) is sent through a still image processing system (68, 70, 72, 74, 76, 82). A clear, high-quality image signal of the image photographed by the camera (60) is supplied to the printer (86).

    Abstract: A portable information displaying apparatus includes an information display unit provided on a first surface of a casing and including a pointer displayed thereon. The apparatus further includes a controller for controlling the movement of the pointer. In one embodiment, the controller is a mouse positioned on the bottom surface of the apparatus which rotates in a freely-selected direction. Alternatively, the controller can comprise first, second, and/or third roller members, each usable to control movement of the pointer along one axis. In addition, a dial member can be provided which is rotatable about an axis perpendicular to the upper surface of the apparatus. These elements of the controller are positioned along side walls of the apparatus. In another embodiment, a track ball and/or first and second slide levers and/or a joystick is provided along a side wall of the apparatus to control the movement of the pointer.

    Abstract: A recording system comprises an image pick-up recording device to record the picture information obtained through the image pick-up on a recording medium by a recording head; and a control device to change the relative location of the head and the medium after the information of one picture has been recorded in a predetermined location on the medium and to prevent the next picture information from being read out during the period of time until the completion of that displacement. The recording system may be provided with a memory for the picture information and a control device for allowing part of the picture information to be recorded in the selected portion on the medium. The control device also permits the other portion of the picture information stored in the memory to be recorded in the other portion on the medium after changing the relative location of the head and the medium.

On the basis of the thus obtained quantized image data, the location within the 2nd detection images of one set of M successive elements of the 2nd detection image which is most similar to M successive elements of the 1st detection image is detected, and with the aid of the data of this location, the distance between the device and the object is determined. According to this improved device, sequence control means, which controls a series of operations for range finding, will firstly cancel the signals stored in said image sensing means as unnecessary signals, when said series of operations is initiated, and then enables proper storing of image signals in the image sensing means so as to properly control the device.
