  • Publication number: 20240116129
Abstract: In a state where a shoulder member is in contact with a contact surface, a pin member is brought into contact with the contact surface to specify a pin movement amount, which is a distance from an initial position of the pin member to the contact surface, and specify a shoulder displacement amount, which is a displacement amount when the shoulder member is retreated as a result of the contact of the pin member. When both a first condition that the pin movement amount is included in a first range and a second condition that the shoulder displacement amount is included in a second range are satisfied, the pin member is retreated from the contact surface by a predetermined return amount, and furthermore, origin point alignment of the pin member and the shoulder member is performed on the basis of positions of the pin member and the shoulder member.

  • Publication number: 20240089621
Abstract: An imaging device includes a first pixel, a second pixel, and a correction circuit. First signals respectively corresponding to the first pixel and the second pixel are input to the correction circuit. The correction circuit outputs second signals in response to the first signals. Each of the first pixel and the second pixel includes a photoelectric converter, a charge storage region, and a capacitance circuit. The photoelectric converter converts light into signal charges. The charge storage region stores the signal charges. The capacitance circuit varies a capacitance value of the charge storage region in response to a potential of the charge storage region. The correction circuit corrects the first signal of at least one of the first pixel or the second pixel to the second signal in a case where the same amount of light is incident on the first pixel and the second pixel.

  • Patent number: 7970092
Abstract: A phase comparison process in a timing recovery process for high-speed data communication defines a data window and compares the phase of a clock in the window with the phase of an edge of data so as to realize a parallel process, wherein the phase comparison and the process of determining whether a data edge lies within the window are performed in parallel to each other, and the phase comparison result is output only if the data edge lies within the window. With this configuration, it is possible to perform an accurate phase comparison process with no errors without requiring high-precision delay circuits.

  • Patent number: 7281151
Abstract: In data communication apparatus for communicating with another data communication apparatus via cables, when a power supply voltage applied to the data communication apparatus drops and the application of the power supply voltage is stopped, a power-supply-voltage-drop detecting circuit immediately detects the drop in the power supply voltage, thereby detecting the stop of application of the power supply voltage. When the stop of the power supply is detected, a stop signal outputting circuit outputs a communication stop signal to said another data communication apparatus. Accordingly, when power supply is stopped in one of the two pieces of data communication apparatus, it is possible to prevent a malfunction from occurring in the other data communication apparatus.

Abstract: A recycling method of scrap steel plate that can recycle scrap steel plates including scrap of high-tensile steel plate to produce good quality of cast iron efficiently, while avoiding unnecessary cost increase. In the recycling method, scrap of high-tensile steel plate and scrap of ordinary steel plate are collected together in a batch collecting process and, then, in a preparing process, the scrap steel plates collected are melted and if not less than 0.7 weight % manganese is contained in the hot metal, then the hot metal is prepared so that a sulfur content in the range of 0.02 to 0.2 weight % in the hot metal and rare earth element or misch metal which is two times as much as the sulfur content is added to the hot metal. To obtain spheroidal graphite cast iron, spheroidizing agent (which preferably comprises no rare-earth element but comprises bismuth) is added further to the hot metal after that.

  • Patent number: 6452983
Abstract: The present invention aims to obtain a demodulator with improved receiving performance such as bit error rate characteristic by reducing the estimation error of the fading distortion even in case of transmitted signal in the channel which is much influenced by not only fading variation but also the thermal noise such as in the nonfading channel. In the demodulator of the invention has a configuration where the carrier is estimated using the known signal to perform the coherent detection. In the carrier estimator, the fading distortion estimator obtains a predetermined form of the estimation of the fading distortion using the known signal, the fading distortion compensator eliminates the fading distortion estimated from the received signal by a predetermined compensating method. The averaging unit obtains the average value of the compensated signal, of which the modulation component was eliminated from the output of the fading distortion compensator.

  • Patent number: 6146222
Abstract: In an outboard engine, a support member for supporting a drive shaft and an exhaust pipe within an extension case can be cooled by outside water pumped by utilizing the exhaust pressure from the engine. The inside of the extension case is divided, by the support member for supporting the drive shaft and the exhaust pipe, into an upper chamber communicating with the open air, and a lower chamber into which outside water is introduced, so that the exhaust gas from the exhaust pipe is discharged into the lower chamber. Both the upper and lower chambers are in communication with each other through a communication pipe. Thus, during operation of the engine, the support member and the depending members are cooled by the outside water forced up from the lower chamber through the communication pipe into the upper chamber.

  • Patent number: 6097766
Abstract: A demodulator is made compact, and with a simple circuit arrangement, and also having a better bit error rate characteristic. A timing phase synchronization detecting circuit 219 judges any one of the following two conditions based upon baseband phase data 202, i.e., an UNLOCK (timing phase asynchronous) condition, and a LOCK (timing phase synchronous) condition. Based upon the judgement result of the timing phase synchronization detecting circuit 219, in a timing recovering means 221, a frequency range of a PLL (phase synchronization loop) is variable, whereas the number of data entered within 1 symbol time is variable in a frequency synchronizing means 222 and a carrier recovering means 223. A data demodulating means 224 outputs demodulation data 206 in response to baseband phase data 202 and a recovery carrier signal 205.

  • Patent number: 5718045
Abstract: A silencer includes: a porous inner pipe provided in a peripheral wall thereof with a large number of small pores; an outer pipe surrounding the porous inner pipe; a sound absorbing material incorporated in an annular clearance between the porous inner pipe and the outer pipe; and a plurality of exhaust gas expansion chambers defined in the porous inner pipe and arranged such that an exhaust gas is sequentially passed through the exhaust gas expansion chambers. The sound absorbing material is formed of a heat-resistant fiber layer which is wound around an outer peripheral surface of the porous inner pipe with a binder interposed therebetween, and an outer peripheral surface of the heat-resistant fiber layer is press-fitted to an inner peripheral surface of the outer pipe with a predetermined interference. Thus, it is possible to prevent a reduction in sound vanish effect due to the leakage and short-circuiting of an exhaust gas and a reduction in engine power performance.
