  • Publication number: 20050099684
Abstract: A telescope main body, which is provided with an objective optical system, a focusing system, an imaging device, a beam splitter, and a correcting system that performs a correcting operation for correcting a position shift between an image forming position of an object image and a receiving surface of the imaging device caused by diopter variation of a user. The correcting system includes a focus driving system which relatively moves an image forming position of the object image with respect to the receiving surface, a focus detecting system which detects a status in which the image forming position coincides with the receiving surface, and a controller controlling the focus driving system. The controller has with a learning function of storing correction data of a preceding correcting operation so that the stored correction data of the preceding correcting operation is reflected in a subsequent correction operation.

  • Publication number: 20050078360
Abstract: A telescope body includes an objective optical system; a focusing mechanism provided with a focus ring which is operated for achieving focusing and a focus lens which is moved along the optical axis by operating the focus ring; a CCD as an imaging device for capturing an image formed by at least the objective optical system and the focus lens; and a UV cut filter for eliminating light having wavelengths in the vicinity of ultraviolet light contained in light that enters the CCD. A telescope is constructed from the telescope body and an eyepiece provided on the telescope body. According to this telescope, it is possible to prevent color blur due to longitudinal chromatic aberration from appearing in an image taken by the imaging device. Further, this telescope can be manufactured at a relatively low cost.

  • Publication number: 20050007662
Abstract: Electronic binoculars comprise an imaging unit, an image-signal processing unit, and first and second ocular units. First and second optical images, obtained by the optical system, are converted to first and second electric signals, due to imaging operations of the first and second imaging devices. The imaging operations of the first and second imaging devices are simultaneously started, and ended at different times. The image-signal processing unit superimposes the first and second electric signals to generate a third electric signal. The first and second ocular units indicate object images based on the third electric signal.

Abstract: Electronic binoculars comprise an imaging unit, and first and second ocular units. The imaging unit has an imaging device that projects an optical image of an object, and converts the optical image to electric signals. The first ocular unit has a first image-indicating device that indicates the object image based on the electric signals in a first image-indicating field. The second ocular unit has a second image-indicating device that indicates the object image based on the electric signals in a second image-indicating field. The first image-indicating field is smaller than a first effective image-indicating area which is the maximum image-indicating area of the first image-indicating device. The second image-indicating field is smaller than a second effective image-indicating area which is the maximum image-indicating area of the second image-indicating device. The respective first and second image-indicating fields can move within the respective first and second effective image-indicating areas.

  • Patent number: 6583819
Abstract: An electronic camera (digital camera) includes a taking optical system that forms an image of a subject, a lowpass filter and a CCD area sensor that captures the image formed by the taking optical system. The lowpass filter is mounted on a driving mechanism that moves it in the direction parallel to a light-receptive surface of the CCD. The driving mechanism consists of a pair of filter guides that support the filter, a pair of shafts that guide rectilinear movement of the filter, a cam disc that is rotated by a motor and a cam follower attached on the guide. When the picture is taken, the motor rotates the disk, which reciprocates the filter. Since the movement of the lowpass filter moves the shadow of the dust formed on the CCD area sensor, an influence of the shadow is diffused among a larger number of pixels.

  • Patent number: 6374060
Abstract: A hybrid camera of the present invention selectively uses one of a photographic film and an image sensor, to record an object image. The hybrid camera has a photographing optical system, a body, and a film positioner. The film positioner is detachably mounted in the body and defines a position of an exposure area of the photographic film, along an optical axis of the photographing optical system. An accommodation space, which can accommodate the image sensor, is formed in the body by detaching the film positioner. When using the photographic film, the film positioner is mounted in the body such that the position of the exposure area coincides with a position of a focal plane, defined by the photographing optical system. Then, when using the image sensor, the film positioner is detached from the body and the image sensor is placed in the accommodation space, such that a position of a light-receiving area of the image sensor coincides with the position of the focal plane, along the optical axis.

  • Publication number: 20010055072
Abstract: An electronic camera is provided that prevents deterioration of quality of an object image obtained by an image-pickup device due to dust adhered on an optical element. The electronic camera includes an ion generator for taking off the electric charges from the optical element, such as a low-pass filter, arranged in front of the image-pickup device. The ion generator is provided in the camera body and ionizes the air inside the camera body. The ionized air diffuses toward the low-pass filter and binds with the charge on the low-pass filter. Thus, the electric charge of the low-pass filter is taken off and the low-pass filter does not attract dust which cause the quality decrease of the object's image obtained by the image-pickup device.

  • Patent number: 6314247
Abstract: A view finder device has a Poro prism and a first optical system facing an emergent plane of the Poro prism. The first optical system is positioned beside the Poro prism and opposite to a recording medium passage through which an electro-developing recording medium is moved. A relay optical system is provided behind the recording medium passage, so that the eye point of the view finder is separated from the first optical system. A second optical system is provided behind the relay optical system, so that the image formed by the relay optical system is observed. Since the electro-developing recording medium can be moved between the first optical system and the relay optical system, the finder optical system can be disposed at a lower position.

  • Patent number: 6272290
Abstract: A camera system comprises a silver halide film camera, by which an object image is recorded on a silver halide film, and a digital camera, by which an object image is recorded in a CCD. The silver halide film camera has a first release button, a first zoom lever, and a light receiving unit. The digital camera has a second release button, a second zoom lever, and an infra-red light beam emitting diode. In a normal mode, by manually operating the first release button and the first zoom lever, a photographing operation and a zooming operation of the silver halide film camera are performed. In a remote control mode, by manually operating the first release button and the first zoom lever, a photographing operation and a zooming operation of the digital camera are performed. At this time, an infra-red light beam is radiated from the infra-red light beam emitting diode, so that a photographing operation and a zooming operation are performed in the silver halide film camera.
