  • Patent number: 9179743
Abstract: Provided is a resin snap fastener, which has excellent heat resistance, rigidity and toughness, and reduced decrease in rigidity when absorbing water, and which does not emit endocrine disrupters. The snap fastener is obtained by molding a resin composition comprising 45-100 parts by weight of wollastonite with respect to 100 parts by weight of a polyamide resin.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 9, 2012
Date of Patent: November 10, 2015
Assignees: YKK Corporation, Toray Industries, Inc.
Inventors: Makoto Momose, Hiroyuki Sugiyama, Yasufumi Morita, Hideo Yogou, Hideshi Okamoto
  • Patent number: 9060572
Abstract: A button fixing member made of synthetic resin, used to fix a button having a fixing opening to a cloth, the button fixing member including a plate-like base and a post protruding from the base to a front surface side of the base. The post is deformed after it passes through the cloth and the fixing opening of the button when the button is fixed to the cloth. The post includes a cavity extending from an opening on a rear surface of the base to a closed end on the tip side of the post concentrically with the post, and a solid portion between the closed end of the cavity and the tip of the post. The axial length of the solid portion is set to be ? or more of the length of the part of the post from the front surface of the base to the tip of the post.

  • Patent number: 8561264
Abstract: A female snap button detachably receives a projection of a male snap button in a projection-receiving space. The female snap button includes an annular protrusion rising from a base and defining the projection-receiving space. In the annular protrusion, there are formed thick-walled portions with the thickness from the inner surface of the protrusion to the radially outer side being relatively thick and thin-walled portions with the thickness being thinner than that in the thick-walled portions. The thick-walled portions and the thin-walled portions are arranged alternately in the circumferential direction.

  • Publication number: 20120266444
Abstract: An upper die with a button-mounting member includes a solid axial part with a flat tip, a bar-like pin member with a pointed tip, and a cylindrical punch surrounding the pin member. The button is set above the cloth and the button-mounting member is disposed below the cloth. The upper die is lowered until the button comes into contact with the upper side of the cloth and the tip of the axial part contacts the lower side of the cloth. The pin member is lowered until the tip hits against the tip of the axial part, resulting in a pilot bore through the cloth. The axial part passes through the cloth along the pilot bore and through the mounting opening. After that, the axial part is swaged by the pin member and the punch.
