Patent number: 6336775Abstract: A gas floating-transporting apparatus transports a material to be treated along a predetermined direction in a thermal space so as to thermally treat the material to be treated. The apparatus includes a gas floating mechanism and a transporting mechanism. The gas floating mechanism includes a gas ejection device which expels the gas toward a portion of the material to be treated on which a floating force is acted so as to float the material to be treated, and a gas supply device which supplies the gas to the gas ejection means. The transporting mechanism includes an abutting member which abuts a trailing end of the floated material to be treated and moves along the predetermined direction, and which pushes the material to be treated by the movement thereof, whereby the floated material to be treated is moved along the predetermined direction.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1999Date of Patent: January 8, 2002Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Makoto Morita, Yuji Tsutsui, Masaru Yoshida, Nobuhito Yokoyama, Kenji Tanimoto

Patent number: 6119095Abstract: An itinerary preparing system capable of easily preparing a complete travel plan that efficiently incorporates desired visiting places. A user inputs from a terminal an intended travel time of a trip together with visiting place information. Based on the visiting place information, a calculating section for calculating an expected consumption time in an information center calculates an expected consumption time for transportation to reach a visiting place or an expected length of stay thereat. An excess/shortage determining section compares the intended travel time with the total expected consumption time of the trip, and adjusts the intended travel time or the total consumption time based on the comparison result. Consequently, an itinerary preparing section makes a travel plan and transmits it to the terminal via an I/O section. When the received itinerary is approved at the terminal, the information center revises the itinerary by filling in free time of the itinerary.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1997Date of Patent: September 12, 2000Assignee: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Makoto Morita

Patent number: 5864753Abstract: A radio station tuning system enables a radio receiver installed in a vehicle to be automatically tuned to a radio station offering a desired program. In the system, a controller receives data recognized by a speech recognizing unit and a current position of the vehicle detected by a navigation unit, provides the data to a communication unit, turns a radio receiver on or off, and tunes the radio receiver to a desired radio station. The communication unit sends data to a base station data via a vehicle telephone line. Receiving the data, the base station has access to its data base storing program data (e.g. broadcasting time, frequencies and so on), retrieves desired data, and transmits them to the vehicle. The controller automatically tunes the radio receiver to the desired radio station on the basis of the received data.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 1996Date of Patent: January 26, 1999Assignees: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Nippon Telegraph & TelephoneInventors: Makoto Morita, Hidefumi Fuse, Masafumi Kizu, Koji Sato, Seishi Tsukada, Tatsuo Suzuki, Kenji Nobukuni, Katsuhiko Ogawa

Patent number: 5667130Abstract: An ultrasonic wire bonding apparatus and method is capable of maintaining a sufficient clearance between the horn and bonding surface, and thereby increase the working area without using a long horn. In the ultrasonic wire bonding apparatus, a capillary is located at the front end of a horn for holding a wire that is directly supported at the front end of the horn. The capillary is long enough to maintain a sufficient clearance between the horn and the bonding surface. Alternatively, a capillary, which is located at the front end of a horn for holding a wire, is short and is supported at the front end of the horn through a joint or extension. The total length of the joint and the capillary is enough to maintain a sufficient clearance between the horn and the bonding surface.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 1995Date of Patent: September 16, 1997Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Makoto Morita, Masaru Nagaike, Richard Gueler, Makoto Imanishi, Takahiro Yonezawa

Patent number: 5648769Abstract: A vehicle data processing system is provided which, even if an on-vehicle data processor such as a navigation system or the like is not active, can input the necessary data into the system at an operator's home or the like. A vehicle includes a data processor and an input unit is independently located in the operator's home or other place. Data of destination and the like inputted into the input unit are transmitted to an information center wherein they are stored in a storage unit.
