  • Patent number: 6089175
Abstract: The present invention relates to a large floating structure used for a marine airport and the like and, more particularly, to a large floating structure in which the large floating structure itself has a wave absorbing function, whereby the need for a breakwater etc. is eliminated, and the installation of a separate wave absorbing structure at the outer periphery of the large floating structure is not needed, whereby an upper deck can be utilized effectively. For this purpose, under an extending portion on the up-wave side of the upper deck of large floating structure, for example, many box-shaped floating bodies arranged in a zigzag form and lattice-shaped connecting members are provided as a wave absorbing structure depending from the extending portion.

  • Patent number: 5835936
Abstract: A one-chip flash-memory device includes a flash-memory array, a communications unit for analyzing a serial signal applied to the communications unit and for resolving the serial signal into an address, a command, and data in parallel with each other, and a control unit for controlling rewriting, erasing, and reading operations of the flash-memory array in accordance with the address, the command, and the data of the serial signal received by the communications unit. Rewriting and erasing operations may be performed without dismounting the flash-memory from a circuit board. In addition, the area of the circuit board on which the flash-memory is mounted is advantageously reduced.

  • Patent number: 5664637
Abstract: An operation prohibiting apparatus for construction equipment of improved controllability. A cutoff bar is positioned is a first position in which the cutoff bar protrudes across the entryway to an operator cab of the construction equipment. The cutoff bar is operationally linked with a locking mechanism for a hydraulic valve system of the construction equipment so that an operating mechanism for the system is unlocked when the cutoff bar is positioned in the first protruding position. A displacement enlarging mechanism is provided between an operating knob and the cutoff bar to facilitate manual positioning of the cutoff bar. Further, the cutoff bar is provided with flexibility to prevent possible damage to the cutoff bar.

  • Patent number: 4793056
Abstract: A plug removal apparatus for removing a mechanical plug fixed in an end of each heat exchange tube of a heat exchanger includes a plug removing mechanism which engages with and pulls out a cylindrical member of the mechanical plug. The plug removing mechanism includes a mandrel insertable into and threadedly engageable with the cylindrical member, a push rod coaxially extending through the mandrel for pushing a cone member of the mechanical plug, an actuating means for selectively moving the mandrel and the push rod towards and from the mechanical plug, and a drive means for selectively rotating the mandrel into engagement with the cylindrical member.
