  • Publication number: 20030112456
Abstract: When registration of favorite is designated in a group printer driver capable of comprehensively controlling a plurality of member printer drivers, a name input window is presented. When the name of the favorite is input, DEVMODE information is acquired from each member printer driver in the present member printer configuration (e.g., printers A, B, and C). These pieces of DEVMODE information are registered in one-to-one correspondence with printer IDs. If the registered favorite is designated, the registered DEVMODE information is transferred to each registered member printer driver to restore the set state. This provides a mechanism capable of efficient printing setting for a plurality of printer drivers.

  • Patent number: 6536475
Abstract: A three-port fluid selector valve is formed to have a large flow coefficient while making a structure of the valve compact. This three-port fluid selector valve allows fluid which has flowed from an inlet port 41 into a valve chamber 12 in a valve casing 1 to flow out of two outlet ports 42 and 43. Valve seats 13 and 31 communicating with the respective outlet ports are provided to opposite walls of the valve chamber 12 facing each other and a poppet-type valve body 5 for being selectively seated on the valve seats to connect the inlet port to one of the outlet ports and to close the other of the outlet ports is disposed in the valve chamber. The valve seats are formed in recessed shapes in the valve chamber 12 and provided to inner bottom portions of valve seat holes 17 and 18 having depths in which at least a half of a thickness of the valve body 5 at a periphery of the valve body 5 is embedded and suppresses reduction of the flow coefficient.

  • Publication number: 20030053129
Abstract: A client computer has a group printer driver which provides an interface as one printer driver by comprehensively managing a plurality of registered member printer drivers. This group printer driver provides a setting user interface for comprehensively setting setting items in the printer drivers, and a designating user interface for designating a desired one of these printer drivers. When a member printer driver is designated on the designating user interface, the individual user interface of the designated member printer driver is presented to make it possible to set individual items. This provides a user interface capable of efficiently and easily setting functions of a plurality of printers.

  • Publication number: 20020060805
Abstract: A print control method performs print processing in an optical operation mode that is automatically determined in response to a print request from an application program. The print control method queries a user about evaluation of print speed or the result of printing obtained in the print processing, and obtains a response to the query. When performing print processing in response to a later print request, the operation mode is determined based on the response. The print control method generates print data in intermediate condition which is not dependent on a particular page description language, and performs print processing based on the result of analyzing the print data.

  • Publication number: 20020054312
Abstract: When users employ a printer driver having the function of automatically selecting a development mode, the invention is intended to make the function of automatically selecting a development mode more convenient to the users. To that end, when one of development modes including a vector mode and an image mode is automatically decided, the printer driver automatically decides a plurality of print setting items in printing data to be processed in the decided development mode depending on the contents of drawing.

  • Publication number: 20020051166
Abstract: An object of this invention is to achieve high-speed automatic setting of a print mode. In a print control apparatus according to this invention, when a print mode set via a user interface window prior to the start of printing is an automatic mode, a print mode which satisfies print conditions is decided. If no print mode is decided at this stage, printing starts, and then a spooler (302) spools print information and determination information for deciding a print mode when the print mode is the automatic mode. When the print mode is an image mode or the image mode is determined to be preferable by determination information, a despooler (305) causes a renderer (306) to generate image data. When the print mode is a PDL mode or the PDL mode is determined to be preferable by determination information, the despooler (305) causes a printer driver to generate a PDL command. In any case, no print mode is decided from determination information as far as the print mode has already been decided as the image or PDL mode.

  • Patent number: 5650574
Abstract: A method of tightening a bolt in an optimum time length does not require an additional program for controlling speed once optimum internal parameters have been determined through several learning cycles. A target torque is first preset and the nut runner is subjected to several learning cycles so that the nut runner automatically determines such internal parameters as to stop the motor immediately after the target torque is reached, requiring a minimum time for tightening the bolt.
