  • Patent number: 6444369
Abstract: The battery of this invention includes a positive electrode including a gelled polymeric electrolyte (A) and using spinel type lithium manganese oxide as an active material; a negative electrode; a gelled polymeric electrolyte (B) in the shape of a film or sheet also serving as a separator, and both the gelled polymeric electrolyte (A) and the gelled polymeric electrolyte (B) are made from a polymer of poly(alkylene oxide) series impregnated with a liquid electrolyte. Since the battery includes the positive electrode using the specific gelled polymeric electrolyte (A), a contact area between the positive electrode active material and the gelled polymeric electrolyte is large, so as to attain large initial discharge capacity (at high rate discharge in particular).

  • Patent number: 6132904
Abstract: A polyelectrolytic battery wherein a porous film having a polyelectrolyte impregnated into its cavities is interposed between a positive electrode and a negative electrode, the porous film having a porosity of not less than 80% and the polyelectrolyte impregnated therein at a ratio of 20 to 90% by volume of the cavities thereof. Another polyelectrolytic battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode including a carbon material, and a polyelectrolytic film interposed between the positive and negative electrodes, the positive and negative electrodes each containing a polyelectrolyte composed of a high polymer having a polystyrene main chain and a side chain of polyethlene oxide and a lithium salt.

  • Patent number: 4787594
Abstract: A seat for motor vehicle includes a seat cushion whose rear or front section or both are coupled via a link mechanism with a base frame in a manner that can be lifted and lowered, whereby through joining of the link mechanism to a control shaft for height adjustment that can be rotated without any limitation, coupling of one of the rocking ends of a bell crank which repeats a rocking motion, interlocked with the rotation of the control shaft, to the seat cushion, and joining of the other rocking end to the control shaft via a crank, it is possible to adjust the height of the rear section, front section, or both, of the cushion seat between the lowest position and the highest position, for every rocking operation of the bell crank.
