  • Patent number: 10155372
Abstract: In a region determination device and method, when a set target contour is an island contour representing an outer profile of a three-dimensional printing object, it is determined whether a closest enclosing contour Lmin enclosing the target contour at a closest position thereto has been set for the slice model or not. When closest enclosing contour Lmin is determined to have been set, it is determined whether the closest enclosing contour Lmin is an island contour or not. When the closest enclosing contour Lmin is determined to be an island contour, the target contour is deleted from the slice model. Then, the region of the post-deletion slice model is divided into a printing region and a non-printing region.

  • Patent number: 10101728
Abstract: In a region determination device and method, when an island contour of a slice model crosses a scanning line in a first direction, the value of an internal level n is increased by a predetermined value. When the island contour crosses the scanning line in a second direction different the first direction, the value of the internal level n is decreased by the predetermined value. When a hole contour of the slice model crosses the scanning line in the second direction, the value of the internal level n is assigned to a temporary retain variable m and “0” is substituted for the internal level n. When the hole contour crosses the scanning line in the first direction, the value of the temporary retain variable m is assigned back to the internal level n. A region corresponding to a value of the internal level n, set as above, that is not 0 is determined to be a printing region, and a region corresponding to the value of the internal level n that is 0 is determined to be a non-printing region.

  • Publication number: 20180283564
Abstract: In a seat component received in a receiving region of a first body of a body, one surface of a contacting portion and one surface of an engaging portion are planar and are flush with each other, and the other surface of the contacting portion and the other surface of the engaging portion are planar and are flush with each other. The engaging portion engages two portions of the first body, which form one opening of the receiving region, in a state where a distal end of the seat component reaches another opening of the receiving region. Furthermore, in the state where the engaging portion engages the portions of the first body, a second body of the body covers the one opening and contacts the engaging portion. Thereby, the engaging portion engages the three portions of the body, so that movement of the seat component is effectively limited.

  • Patent number: 9985046
Abstract: A linear mark extending perpendicular to a primary step direction of stepped terrace for a three-dimensional memory device can be employed as a reference feature for aligning a trimming material layer before initiating an etch-and-trim process sequence. The linear mark can be formed as a linear trench or a linear rail structure. The distance between a sidewall of each trimming material layer and the linear mark can be measured at multiple locations that are laterally spaced apart perpendicular to the primary step direction to provide statistically significant data points, which can be employed to provide an enhanced control of the staircase patterning process. Likewise, locations of patterned stepped surfaces can be measured at multiple locations to provide enhanced control of the locations of vertical steps in the stepped terrace.

  • Patent number: 9921573
Abstract: In a slice image creation device, a peeling processor performs peeling on a peeling line segment in a circulation direction of the peeling line segment. When the peeling reaches an intersection at which line segments of contours cross each other, an intersection information acquisition processor acquires intersection information including an intersection angle defined at the intersection by the peeling line segment and each candidate line segment connected to the intersection in a direction that is the same as the circulation direction of the peeling line segment. A transfer processor sets one of the candidate line segments that has the smallest intersection angle as the line segment to which the peeling is going to be transferred next from the peeling line segment at the intersection.
