Abstract: The invention is a theft deterrent arrangement for a motor vehicle audio apparatus (10) wherein the audio apparatus (10) is enabled when an optoelectronic circuit (7,11,13) is closed by a security bezel (1) removably seated in a recess (3) in a front face (2) of the audio apparatus (10). The security bezel (1) has a light pipe (17), so that when the security bezel (1) is seated in the recess (3), the light pipe (17) provides an optical path (32) between a light detector (13) and an emitter (11) fixedly mounted in the recess (3), thereby closing the optoelectronic circuit (7,11,13) and enabling the audio apparatus (10).

Abstract: A spherical spring mounting is described comprising a central hub with a part-spherical outer surface around which are arranged truncated spherical shells separated by and bonded to elastomer layers. Means are provided for connecting the hub with a selected shell at different positions around the hub axis so that a selected degree of resilience can be provided to a member mounted to extend along the hub axis. The spring mounting may be used e.g. in a standing frame for a handicapped person.

Abstract: A standing support frame for handicapped persons comprising a platform (10), a column (17) mounted upright on the platform so as to be pivotable to a limited degree in all directions from a mean position, a pair of upright horizontally spaced support arms (40), the arms being joined at their lower ends to the column (17) and at their upper ends to a chest support (70), a knee support (30) mounted to the column, and a buttock support (60) extending between the arms at an appropriate position, means (M) being provided for resiliently urging the column to the mean position.
