  • Publication number: 20150076781
Abstract: A skateboard and method of forming such a skateboard is provided which yields a skateboard deck, formed in a unitary structure, of polymeric material. The deck may formed of molten, pliable, planar sheet material, which is heated past a glass transition temperature and thereafter formed for curves and shape through imparting of force on the polymeric material by molding. The resulting skateboard deck is formed as a unitary structure which can be further enhanced using flexible compressible mounts engaged in deck apertures to engage the wheels and trucks thereon. The unitary structure of polymeric material is also well suited for light transmission therethrough from light emitters which may be operatively engaged to the mounts.

  • Patent number: 8136546
Abstract: A pressure relief valve for blown fiber closures is provided having constituent components fabricated from plastic. An adaptor is provided for connection to a blown fiber closure, and a body welded to this adaptor, is provided to enclose a piston and a spring within, such that they are protected from the ingress of silt and water. The piston is arranged to provide a double seal such that a pressure relief valve plug and an opening in the enclosing body are closed or opened simultaneously to prevent the ingress of silt and/or water on the one hand and the unhindered escape of pressurized fluid on the other.

  • Publication number: 20090202213
Abstract: A routing device is provided for use in optical systems for routing and distributing optical fibres within optical networks, optical hardware, and optical joints thereof. The routing device includes a plurality of cable ports for receiving one or more cable elements, which include one or more optical fibres. Each of a plurality of guiding tracks is connected to at least one cable port, and one or more output ports in which the optical fibres are routed from the cable ports to the output ports. An optical joint for use in optical systems includes, one or more trays and at least one routing device mounted within the optical joint. The optical joint receives the one or more cable elements, which are plugged into the routing device and routes the one or more optical fibres through the routing device to distribute them from at least one of the output ports to their respective trays.

  • Patent number: 5450889
Abstract: A door curtain assembly (10) for temporarily closing the door opening of a loading dock doorway for a warehouse, or similar industrial building, including a framework (20) mounted within the door jamb of the doorway. A door curtain (42) is movably mounted to the framework (20) and is formed from a durable, porous material that enables light and air to readily pass therethrough, but which retards the passage of insects, etc. through the open door of a warehouse. The door curtain (42) is slidably mounted on a curtain rod (66) and is movable across the width of the door opening to open and close the door opening. A locking handle (96) is provided along one side edge (49) of the door curtain (42) for locking the door curtain (42) in its closed position for enclosing the door opening.
