Abstract: A device for mechanically placing wheel chocks against the wheels of a truck-like vehicle as it is parked on the apron of a loading dock. The chocks are remotely controlled from a point of vantage by the dock attendant and certain provisions readily preclude the commencement of any loading and/or unloading operation involving the parked vehicle prior to the vehicle being properly chocked in place, and moreover, structure is included which precludes the likelihood of inadvertent movement of the vehicle away from the dock prematurely before the actual completion of the loading and/or unloading operations, thus avoiding fork lift accidents and personel injuries common in the industry.
