    Abstract: Methods for creating and using multi-phase fluid flows are disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes introducing an inner fluid into a tubular conduit. The method further includes introducing a ring fluid into the tubular conduit. In this embodiment, the ring fluid is disposed annularly between the inner fluid and the interior of the tubular conduit, and the flow of the ring fluid is laminar.
