    Abstract: A starting aid for an internal combustion engine includes a tubular body about which is located a stack of electrically insulating and heat resisting rings. Wound on the rings is a heating element and in the wall of the tubular body is an aperture through which fuel can flow. The fuel flows along the gaps defined between the rings to the heating element and is vaporized and subsequently ignited.
