  • Patent number: 7897361
Abstract: Methods and compositions relating to Alzheimer's disease are provided. Specifically, proteins that are differentially expressed in the Alzheimer's disease state relative to their expression in the normal state are provided. Proteins associated with Alzheimer's disease are identified and described. Methods of diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease using the differentially expressed proteins are also provided, as are methods for the identification and therapeutic use of compounds for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

  • Publication number: 20100026042
Abstract: An integrated reveal molding is provided for a motor vehicle door frame having a header section defining a window opening. The integrated reveal molding includes an upper reveal adapted to be mounted to the header section. The upper reveal includes a reveal surface disposed outboard of the header section. A reveal is secured along the reveal surface. The integrated reveal molding also includes a glass run co-extruded with the upper reveal. The glass run includes a window receiving channel for engagement with a window pane. The integrated reveal molding is formed as an extruded member from thermoplastic vulcanisate (TPV) of different durometer values to meet varying flexibility and durability requirements.

  • Publication number: 20090275495
Abstract: Methods and compositions relating to Alzheimer's disease are provided, including proteins that are differentially expressed in Alzheimer's disease as compared to the normal state. Further provided are methods, particularly experimental paradigms, for the identification of differential expressed proteins that are potential molecular targets for compounds to treat or prevent Alzheimer's disease. Also provided are methods for the identification and therapeutic use of compounds for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

  • Publication number: 20090211702
Abstract: A method of applying a film, including a top layer having a softening point temperature and an adhesive tie layer, to an extruded substrate having a receiving surface to form a finished extrusion is provided including the steps of heating the adhesive tie layer of the film, heating the extruded substrate, placing the adhesive tie layer of the film in contact with the receiving surface of the extruded substrate, applying a predetermined force to the film to bond the adhesive tie layer to the extruded substrate and form the finished extrusion, and maintaining the top layer of the film at a temperature below the softening point temperature to prevent the top layer from being marred as the adhesive tie layer bonds to the extruded substrate.

  • Publication number: 20080103107
Abstract: The present invention provides materials and methods relating to screening for compounds useful in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and related conditions. In particular, screening methods using tyrosine kinases are provided, as are methods relating to the role of tyrosine kinases as therapeutic targets.

  • Publication number: 20050175496
Abstract: A method of reclaiming a metal M1 from a source of highly contaminated metal M1X having a high oxygen content includes the steps of: sintering the highly contaminated finely divided metal M1X into a perform; introducing the preform into an electrochemical cell, the cell containing a liquid electrolyte comprising a fused salt or mixture of salts generally designated as M2Y in which oxygen is soluble, and a relatively inert anode; conducting electrolysis under conditions favorable to the selective dissolution of oxygen in preference to the deposition of the M2 cation to form a decontaminated metal preform; and following electrolysis, reclaiming the decontaminated metal preform from the cathode. The reclaimed decontaminated metal preform may optionally be crushed to yield a powder of the metal M1. The highly contaminated finely divided metal may comprise swarf, chips and such-like from machining operations, or may comprise high oxygen content metal powders such as hydride-dehydride (HDH) titanium powder.
