Abstract: The present invention relates to a process on a large industrial scale for the production of thylakoids, from photosynthetic organisms, such as from green plant leaf material, to be used as ingredients in food, or additions to food, or dietary supplements, or pharmaceuticals for the purpose of preventing overweight, promoting satiety, reducing food intake, reducing bodyweight, reducing blood insulin concentration and reducing blood fats and percentage body fat in humans and animals.
