  • Patent number: 4304450
Abstract: A gas discharge display panel may be used for display purposes despite the presence of open conductors in the panel. Four termination areas, each including a plurality of repair pads are provided, one at each end of each of the two conductor arrays in the panel. One end of each conductor in each array is connected to a respective repair pad in the adjacent termination area. A repair cable having a plurality of conductors runs from the termination area at one end of a conductor array to the termination area at the other end of the array. To repair an open, opposite ends of a respective repair cable conductor are connected to the open conductor's repair pads.By virtue of the connection of the opposite ends of a repair cable conductor to the open conductor's repair pads, both ends of the open conductor are electrically connected. When an open conductor is energized at one end, the entire body of the open conductor is at the same electrical potential despite the presence of the open.

  • Patent number: 4186785
Abstract: A collapsible self-storing bucksaw includes the blade, a compression member, a tension member, and a pair of handle members. The handle assembly comprise a pair of hollow tubular members which fit together in telescopic fashion. When disassembled, the tension member fits within the compression member, while the compression member and saw blade fit within the handle assembly. In the disassembled state, the handle includes threaded fastening members connected to opposite ends of the tension member to hold the component within the handle assembly. The beneficial effects of a bucksaw are thus provided in a strong lightweight structure adapted for hunting, fishing, back-packing, camping, and similar outdoor recreational activities.

  • Patent number: 4018496
Abstract: A set of closely spaced, parallel conductive lines on an insulating support are located in face to face electrical contact with a corresponding set of conductive lines on a second insulating support, and a new structure is provided for adjusting the two sets of lines to match properly despite variations in the spacing between the lines of a set. The first set of lines has close, even, spacing. In the second set, the lines converge slightly from a spacing that is wider than the spacing of the first set to a spacing that is narrower than the spacing of the first set. During assembly, the position where contact occurs between the two sets is adjusted so that satisfactory electrical contact is made between each pair of lines.
